Clarksville, TN – In an effort to bring more attention to drivers that drink and drive, the Clarksville Police Department is going to start consolidating and publishing the circumstances which lead to the DUI arrest. They are arrests, not convictions. Clarksville Police had 751 DUI arrests for 2012.
Police made 10 DUI arrests from February 15th thru February 17th, 2013.
 Betty Carlson, Jimmy Doss, Derek Dotson, Ryan Estes, Edward Gill, Pedro Hanson, Samantha Kelly, Dewayne Massey, Luis Paniagua-Sostenes, and Ryan Smith and were arrested over the weekend by Clarksville Police for DUI.

Clarksville Police Officer Spots House Fire, saves one Man, another found deceased

Clarksville, TN – On February 4th, around 1:50am, Clarksville Police Officer Gary Mefford was on a traffic stop on Providence Boulevard when he spotted flames coming from a house on Cave Street. He notified dispatch and several officers responded to the scene of the fire at 197 Cave Street.
When officers arrived, the house fire was well underway. They were beating on the doors trying to make contact with anyone inside.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department announces additional Lane Closure on Providence Boulevard

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water has closed the outer northbound lane of Providence Boulevard from Shelby Street to Atkins Street in addition to the currently closed northbound lanes from Atkins to Cedar Court.

Clarksville Gas and Water Department reports Providence Boulevard Water Outage and Lane closure to continue Sunday

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Gas and Water construction crews will continue water main leak repair work today on Providence Boulevard from Peachers Mill Road to Cave Street. There will be a water outage for this area until approximately 2:30pm.
Providence Boulevard will also be closed to one lane of northbound traffic during the repair work.
Streetlight Replacement Project Gets Underway – Drivers Beware

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville has contracted Stones River Electric to replace 360 streetlight fixtures with LED streetlight fixtures as part of a Federal Department of Energy Grant to the city.
The project is currently scheduled to begin Monday September 27th and be complete by Friday October 15th. The schedule may be lengthened due to weather or other factors. «Read the rest of this article»
