Two Regular Burglars are Going Back to Jail

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Once again, repeat offenders are headed back to jail. Bernard Thomas Nelson was released from Montgomery County Jail December 6th, 2011. David Wayne Wylie was released from Tennessee Department of Corrections October 31st, 2011.

On December 8th, 2011, around 4:30am, Nelson and Wylie were captured on surveillance footage committing a commercial burglary at a towing company in the 1200 block of College Street. There was a wooden block thrown through a window by one of the suspects and then a door was opened to allow the other suspect to enter.

Man Trying to Buy Drugs Charged with False Report

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On December 20th, 2010, a man called 911 to report that he had been assaulted by several men at the intersection of Cedar and Reynolds Street.  During the assault the men allegedly took a large sum of cash from him.

After the alleged the robbery, the man drove to the parking lot of Kroger’s on Madison Street and met with officers there.

Detective Dave Bramel took over the investigation and found out what really happened.

Partial Road Closure on Madison Street, and Road Closure on Cedar Street

Madison Street is closed to westbound traffic from Hiter Street to 3rd Street until approximately 7:00 p.m. this evening. A Gas and Water construction crew is repairing an 8-inch water main leak on Madison near the United Methodist Church. Water service on Madison may be disrupted from 3rd Street to 7th Street during the repair work. Traffic will be detoured to Hiter and Commerce streets.

There is a road closure on Cedar Street from Glenn Street  to Franklin Street until approx. 9:30 p.m. due to an 8-inch water main leak. Water Service on Cedar Street may be disrupted during the repair work
