Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation last night arrested a state probation officer for having sexual contact with a probationer.
Daryell Smith, 63, of Ashland City, TN, was arrested and charged with one count of sexual contact with a parolee/probationer, a class E felony. On January 15th, 2013, the 23rd Judicial District Attorney General requested TBI to investigate allegations that Smith was having sexual contact with a female under his supervision.

Four Arrested for Animal Cruelty by Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation and the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Department arrested four individuals after they were indicted by the Cheatham County grand jury yesterday on multiple counts of animal cruelty stemming from a dog fighting operation that was discovered in Ashland City, Tennessee in November 2012.
James Callis, 31, of 1823 Marowbone Road in Ashland City was charged with one count of animal fighting, one count of cruelty to animals and one count of aggravated cruelty to animals.

Two Others In Custody In Cheatham County
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today has added a Cheatham County, TN man to its Top Ten Most Wanted fugitive list after he remains on the run three days after warrants were issued for his arrest.
Forty-two-year-old Dayton Scarbrough is wanted on four counts of aggravated assault and four counts of civil rights intimidation from an incident that occurred in the aftermath of the May 2010 flooding in Middle Tennessee.
