UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 20/17 Tennessee (12-4, 1-3 SEC) plays its second straight road contest, as the Lady Vols head to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama (9-8, 1-3 SEC) on Thursday night, January 17th. Tip-off is slated for 8:02pm CT (9:02pm ET) at Coleman Coliseum, with the game being carried by the SEC Network and the Lady Vol Radio Network.

This marks the 46th meeting between these programs, with Alabama holding a four-game winning streak over the Lady Vols and taking the past two games in Tuscaloosa. In addition to attempting to halt that series streak, the Lady Vols will be seeking to end a three-game losing skid that began on January 6th. UT has lost its last three contests to Missouri (66-64), Kentucky (73-71) and Georgia (66-62) by a combined total of eight points.

#3 Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball falls at Georgia, 66-62

UT Lady VolsAthens, GA – Sophomore point guard Evina Westbrook poured in 10 points in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough to overcome a third-quarter Tennessee Lady Vols shooting slump and Georgia’s second-half rally as UT fell at Stegeman Coliseum, 66-62.

There were five ties and 10 lead changes in the contest.

Westbrook led Tennessee (12-4, 1-3 SEC) in scoring with a game-high 23 points, logging her eighth 20+ point performance of the season. Rennia Davis had six points and 12 rebounds, while Cheridene Green also added six points and 10 rebounds.

#13 Tennessee loses at home to #16 Kentucky, 73-71

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – The No. 13-ranked Tennessee Lady Vols fell, 73-71, to the 16th-ranked Kentucky Wildcats on Thursday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.
 
The Lady Vols (12-3, 1-2 SEC) trailed by two points after a pair of free throws from Meme Jackson with one minute remaining, but a three-pointer from Wildcats guard Jaida Roper put the game out of reach for the Big Orange.
 
Sophomore point guard Evina Westbrook led the charge offensively for the Tennessee Lady Vols with 20 points, marking her seventh performance of the season of 20 or more points, and added six rebounds.

This marks the 67th meeting between these programs in a series that ranks behind only UT-Vanderbilt (80 games) and now ties with UT-Georgia (67 games) for most times played.

The Tennessee Lady Vols will try to bounce back from a Sunday setback on The Summitt, as Missouri upset Tennessee, 66-64, with a 6-for-9 three-point barrage in the second half providing the catalyst.

#10 Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball loses heart breaker to Missouri, 66-64

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – No. 10/10 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball was edged out by Missouri, 66-64, in its SEC home opener Sunday afternoon at Thompson-Boling Arena in front of a season-high crowd of 9,113.
 
Tennessee trailed by five points with less than 90 seconds remaining but fought back and had a shot to win at the buzzer. Rennia Davis’ runner in the lane fell short.
 
Davis and Evina Westbrook led the way for Tennessee (12-2, 1-1 SEC) with 16 points each. Cheridene Green finished with 13 points and 14 rebounds, her second double-double of the season and a career-high mark on the boards.

Tip-off is slated for 1:02pm CT, with the game available on SECN+ and the Lady Vol Radio Network.

This match-up is the first between these schools since March 1st, 1979, when current UT head coach Holly Warlick was donning a Lady Vol uniform as Pat Summitt’s point guard. This is the 10th overall meeting between these schools and the 77th time the Lady Vols have met a current member of the Ohio Valley Conference. UT is 55-21 vs. squads in that league after defeating Murray State on Friday night.

#10 Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball takes care of Murray State, 98-77

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Seven Lady Vols scored in double digits, fueling No. 10/10 Tennessee to a 98-77 victory over Murray State Friday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

With a season-high crowd of 8,518 looking on, the Lady Vols (10-1) were led in scoring by Rennia Davis who posted her third double-double of the season with 20 points and 13 rebounds. Other UT players in double figures were Rae BurrellMimi Collins, and Meme Jackson with 11 points each, and Evina Westbrook, Jazmine Massengill and Cheridene Green with 10 apiece.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Senior wing Meme Jackson fired in 23 points to help No. 9/8 Tennessee Lady Vols basketball  team head into the holiday break at 9-1 with an 80-61 win over East Tennessee State Friday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.
 
Senior Cheridene Green (12 points), sophomore Rennia Davis (11 points and seven rebounds) and freshman Mimi Collins (11 points and six rebounds) joined Jackson as double-digit scorers for the Lady Vols, who bounced back from a loss to No. 8/9 Stanford on Tuesday night.

UT Lady VolsKnoxville, TN – Sophomore guard Evina Westbrook tallied a career-high-tying 29 points and dished out 10 assists, as No. 9/8 ranked Tennessee Lady Vols Basketball fell 95-85 to No. 8/9 Stanford at Thompson-Boling Arena on Tuesday night.
 
Sophomore forward Rennia Davis joined Westbrook in notching a double-double (14 points and 10 rebounds), carding her second of the season and 11th of her career. Senior guard/forward Meme Jackson (17) and freshman guard Zaay Green (14) were the other Tennessee players with double-digit points in the contest. Westbrook became the first Lady Vol since Candace Parker in 2007-08 to register four-straight 20-point games.
