APSU’s Highland Crest Campus’s new coordinator is Kristen Brewer

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – Individuals looking to finish their college careers by enrolling at Austin Peay State University’s Highland Crest campus in Robertson County will now have a friendly face to help guide them through the process – new extended campus coordinator Kristen Brewer.

Brewer is now working at the Springfield campus, which houses both APSU and Volunteer State Community College programs, to help students interested in completing a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice, a Bachelor of Professional Studies, a Master of Arts in Teaching or a Master of Arts in Education with a reading specialist licensure.

Chi Omega chapter donates painting to APSU in honor of 40 years on campus

Austin Peay State UniversityClarksville, TN – A new painting will soon hang in Harned Hall, on the Austin Peay State University campus. The artwork – a watercolor of the University’s quadrangle – was recently donated to the school by the artist, Lynne Waters Griffey, in recognition of the 40th anniversary of the Sigma Kappa chapter of the Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity at APSU.

The print will hang with a plaque, acknowledging it as a gift from the chapter to the University.

Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity held 40th Anniversary Celebration for the Sigma Kappa Chapter at Austin Peay State University

 

Chi OmegaClarksville, TN – A celebration of “sisterhood” was the theme this weekend, as over two hundred women with the Sigma Kappa chapter of the Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity recognized forty years of their chapter at Austin Peay State University.

Highlighted by a visit from Tennessee Congressman Marsha Blackburn, a Chi Omega herself, women of all ages who have shared the common bond of sisterhood at Austin Peay State University, came together for a brunch and a walk down memory lane at the Laida Fellowship Hall at First Baptist Church.

Chi Omega celebrating 40th anniversary at Austin Peay State University

 

Chi Omega SororityClarksville, TN – The Sigma Kappa chapter of Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity at Austin Peay State University turns 40 this year. And the hundreds of members initiated into this chapter over the last four decades are invited to reunite with their sisters to help commemorate the occasion.

Austin Peay State University’s Chi Omega Chapter Celebrates 40th Anniversary

Chi Omega SororityClarksville, TN – The Sigma Kappa chapter of Chi Omega Women’s Fraternity turns 40 this year. In May of 1972, the Sigma Tao Omega sorority was granted an official charter from Chi Omega, becoming the first national sorority on Austin Peay’s campus.

Since then, through the national organization, this Chi Omega chapter has raised nearly $50,000 for the Make-A-Wish foundation and has donated thousands of volunteer hours to local charities and organizations.

APSU senior named winner of recent Share a Smile contest

 

An Austin Peay State University senior is the winner of a recent contest designed to motivate college students to practice good oral health.

Amanda Michelle Brown, of Clarksville, won the 2010 APSU Share a Smile contest sponsored by Delta Dental of Tennessee. The contest was open to members of APSU’s Greek-letter fraternities and sororities.

Brown is a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She received a $1,000.00 monetary award for college expenses, Delta Dental also will give a donation to a Tennessee-based, oral health charity picked by Brown and her sorority. «Read the rest of this article»
