Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – There have been only 11 all-time meetings in the regular season between the Tennessee Titans and the Chicago Bears. The Bears lead the series 6-5. The visiting team has won the last four meetings in the series, dating back to 1998.

Most recently, the Bears visited Tennessee on November 4th, 2012 and left with a 51-20 victory. Their point total remains the most ever scored by a visiting team at Nissan Stadium. In the win, quarterback Jay Cutler and wide receiver Brandon Marshall connected for three touchdown passes.

The Titans have not played a regular season game at Soldier Field since 2008, and prior to that, the last time the franchise played there was 1995. They are 3-2 all-time at the historic venue, which opened in 1924.

Tennessee Titans announce 2016 NFL Schedule

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans open the 2016 regular season at home against the Minnesota Vikings on September 1th1 and host the Super Bowl Champion Denver Broncos on December 11th. The Titans also will appear in a Thursday night primetime contest against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Nissan Stadium on October 27th.

“Opening up with Minnesota, a playoff team, will be good test for us at home,” said Titans head coach Mike Mularkey. “We haven’t opened up at home since 2012, it will be nice for our fans – opening day for our fans, there is nothing like it.”

Tennessee Titans sign quarterback Jordan Palmer

 

Tennessee TitansNashville, TN – On Monday, December 15th, the Tennessee Titans added quarterback Jordan Palmer to the team. Jake Locker went down during Sunday’s game versus the New York Jets and was placed on injured reserve leaving the Titans with just one active quarterback, Charlie Whitehurst.

Palmer was drafted in 2006 by the Washington Redskins. He has been on the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills. He was last on the Chicago Bears roster in 2013.

Palmer will serve as backup to Whitehurst.
