Clarksville Job Fair to support Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter

 

Valvoline Instant Oil ChangeClarksville, TN -  Convenient Car Care, Inc., a Clarksville based automotive company, is hosting a job fair at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Tuesday September 3rd, from 10:00am-3:00pm, and company officials indicate they will use the event to raise money and awareness for the Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter.

“We support the Montgomery County Friends of the Shelter, and want to support them in any way we possibly can,” said Candace Ursery, VP of Convenient Car Care. “Not only will we be hiring new members for our team, but we will be raising money and collecting bags of dog food for the Friends of the Shelter on September 3rd” Ursery said.

Fort Campbell’s Air Assault Auto brings back Free Hot Dog Fridays

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – You deserve a break so get out of the office and visit Air Assault Auto on Free Hot Dog Friday.  On April 19th, starting at 11:00am, Air Assault Auto will be cooking hotdogs and serving sodas and chips.

The food is free and there will be in-store specials!  Mark your calendars for every third Friday between now and August.  Future dates are:  May 17th, June 21st, July 19th, and August 16th.

Air Assault Auto is located at building 5300 on the corner of Airborne Street and Tennessee Avenue.

Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County TennesseeClarksville, TN – On Saturday October 8th, 2011, the Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery, TN ReStore will host its first annual ‘ReCreate’, a fall festival focusing on repurposed materials, particularly those found in the ReStore.

Local artists such as Shipley Potter, Dave Jenks, Gemini Dream Design, Doug Wilson, Heart Beaded Jewelry and more will have art for display and sale constructed of renewed and reused items.

Strike, Rattle, and Bowl Back to the 50’s at Hooper Bowling Center

 

Morale, Welfare and RecreationFort Campbell, KY – Now-a-days fifty cents can’t buy you much of anything. That is not the case at Hooper Bowling Center on Saturday, July 30th as Hooper will be offering a fifty cent special to celebrate our Soldiers coming home.

The center will open at 9:00am and all games, shoe rentals, hot dogs, and chips will be .50 each until 7:00pm.

Ending Summer with Fun at Dale Wayrynen Recreation Center

Join Dale Wayrynen Recreation Center (DW Rec.) as they host an End of Summer Cookout. Enjoy all your picnic favorites such as hotdogs, hamburgers, baked beans, potato salad, chips, dessert, and a drink for $3.00 per person. This is a great way to kick off the Labor Day weekend. Cookout begins at 4:00pm on September 5th.

Looking for a place to kick back and relax this Labor Day weekend? DW Rec. Center will be open to serve Soldiers and their Families on Labor Day from 11:00am until 8:00pm.

DC Rec. Game CenterExercise those thumbs and get ready for the Madden 11 Xbox 360 Tournament on Sunday, September 12th at 2:00pm. This video game tournament is open to all eligible MWR patrons.
