Nashville PredatorsColumbus, OH - An injury plagued, strike shortened season has come to an end for the Nashville Predators with a 3-1 loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Predators were first to score on a Shea Weber slap shot at 8:29 of the second period, but the third period belonged to Columbus, as they reeled off three goals, including an empty netter, to seal the deal.

Nashville Predators lose to Dallas Stars 5-2

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN - The Nashville Predators lost to the Dallas Stars 5-2 on this Friday night in Smashville, where there was still a glimmer of hope that they could make the playoffs. Those hopes seemed to be dashed with tonight’s loss.

Dallas rookie Alex Chiasson scored two goals as Dallas won their fourth straight game keeping their improbable playoff hopes alive, Ray Whitney, Erik Cole and Tom Wandell let the scoring for the Stars who started the night 10th in the Western Conference, just three points behind the Detroit Red Wings.

By that time, Calgary led Nashville 2-0. Chris Mason took over in goal for the rest of the game, but it didn’t make much difference as Calgary kept coming.

Nashville Predators outgunned by Vancouver Canucks 7-4

 

Nashville PredatorsVancouver – The Nashville Predators already down 5-2 to the Vancouver Canucks at the end of two periods came out in the third playing hard. Goals by Mike Fisher and Gabriel Bourque brought the Predators within one of the Canucks at the 15:41 mark with all the momentum going their way.

However, Predators forward Sergei Kostitsyn received a questionable call for hooking Henrik Sedin on a break away down the right side giving the Canucks a penalty shot.
