Clarksville, TN – A group of very special USO soldiers and their families from Fort Campbell recently enjoyed a delicious holiday meal and a visit from a jolly old elf while celebrating a wonderful cause.
As the soldiers, families and children (approximately 130 people total) arrived at the Wyatt-Johnson Subaru-Hyundai-Mazda dealership, they were greeted by Santa’s helpers (aka Wyatt Johnson employees) and were served a traditional Christmas meal catered by Margie Johnson. The group feasted on ham, turkey with all of the fixings, and a variety of delicious desserts.

Rakkasan leaders bring Christmas dinner to remote base in Khowst province

 Khowst Province, Afghanistan – U.S. Army Soldiers eat Christmas dinner in Bak, Afghanistan, December 25th. The food was brought to the remote location by helicopter and served to the Soldeirs by the 3rd Brigade Combat Team command team. Flying in Christmas dinner helped to brighten holiday spirits while the Soldiers are separated from friends and family during the holidays.
The unit recently began operations in the new facility, requiring the Christmas meal to be flow from a larger installation near Khowst, Afghanistan to the remote location.

Loaves and Fishes serves up holiday dinner

Under the direction of Anne Doherty, volunteers at the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen served up a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings to dozens of people Christmas Day.
Santa was on hand to visit and chat with the organization’s guests, and no one left hungry.
The Loaves and Fishes, which usually runs its meals with a six-member volunteer crew, had nearly a dozen volunteers who chose to share their holiday in service to others in the Clarksville community. «Read the rest of this article»
