Clarksville, TN – Due to needed repair of a water line on Public Square, all offices at City Hall will close today at 3:00pm The repair will require the water lines going into City Hall to be shut off and could result in a safety issue for employees in the building.
Offices will re-open for normal business hours tomorrow morning, Friday, January 11th, 2013, at 8:00am.

Clarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville together with U.S. Bank will be Jammin’ in Strawberry Alley once more this season on Friday, October 19th, 2012. Join us for this month’s free concert beginning at 7:00pm.
The concert features trio, “Ten Strings and Tom”, named for the instruments in their band- six string guitar, four string bass, and a Tom or one drum of a drum set. Members include Syd Hedrick (Guitar and Vocals), Skip Clark (Bass), and Tom Nadeau (Drums). City of Clarksville Forced to Consider Possible Fireworks Ban as a Result of Drought Conditions
Clarksville, TN – The hot and dry conditions that have gripped Clarksville has many residents concerned about shooting fireworks during the Fourth of July holiday. The City of Clarksville usually allows fireworks to be shot between July 1st-7th in the city limits. There are no restrictions in the county.
Clarksville Online has learned that Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan has had discussions with fire officials about those concerns, and will make a decision if the weather does not improve.

Clarksville Police Department hires Eight New Officers

Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department welcomed eight new officers to its ranks Monday, September 19th, 2011 at 9:30am. Mayor Kim McMillan administered the Oath of Office to the new officers in a ceremony at City Hall.

Join us September 16th for this month’s free concert and to enjoy yet another “night market,” featuring more than a dozen vendors from Clarksville’s weekly Downtown Market. Vendors will be set up from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, and the concert will begin at 7:00pm.

City Updates, August 23rd
Charter Revisions
Clarksville, TN - Late yesterday afternoon Mayor McMillan notified the council that work would resume on Tuesday, August 30th at 2:30pm at City Hall on the Charter Revisions. The Montgomery County Legislative delegation will be in attendance and all council members are invited to attend and participate.
City Legal Results: The city has won another court case. This case was Ken Moore (police officer discharged for violation of CPD policy) vs City. This was a federal court case and the jury found that the city had no violations or liability with any of the claims asserted by the Plaintiff. «Read the rest of this article»

Justice Assistance Grant Public Comment Session

Clarksville, TN -The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County intend to submit a joint application for the 2011 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $89,798, with the funds to be shared equally by the County and the City for traditional law enforcement and crime prevention activities. Any person wishing to make a comment is invited to attend a public comment period July 18th, 2011 at 1:00pm.
This session will be held in the Finance Department Conference Area, Room 300, 3rd Floor of City Hall, 1 Public Square, Clarksville, Tennessee.
