Judge orders program to be halted!

It’s just coming out, MSNBC and the AP are reporting that U.S. District Court Judge Anna Diggs Taylor has ruled that the President’s warrantless domestic spying program is unconstitutional, and that she has ordered an immediate halt to it.

This is a serious rebuke to the Bush Administrations, and their attempt to use the State secret privilege to block an independent judicial review of the legality of this program. This is something that other judges need to take note of as well. «Read the rest of this article»

More warrantless spying, this time financial records

The President The goal of terrorism is to force the target to change their way of life. To take away those things a society treasures. Before the Bush administration, we dealt with terrorism as what it is, a criminal matter. By calling this a war, by using that as an excuse for stealing our nations civil liberties, to bypass our legal and constitutional safeguards on our right to privacy, Bush has given the terrorists victory before we even got started. The risks of amending the constitution to define marriage

ConstitutionThe constitution states that the Congress writes the laws; the Executive branch approves them, and then enforces them; the Judicial branch interprets the meaning of what they say.
