Bill Summers to attend Veterans Affairs Town Hall Meeting in Clarksville today

 

Election 2014Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayoral candidate and Ward 10 councilman Bill Summers will attend the Veterans Affairs Tennessee Valley Healthcare System Town Hall today, September 15th, 2014, at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.

Today’s open-forum town hall is one of four that the Veterans Affairs Tennessee Valley Healthcare System is hosting across the Middle Tennessee area. According to their website, the goal is to better understand the challenges that veterans face.

Clarksville candidate for Mayor Bill Summers to attend Annual 9/11 Ceremony

 

Election 2014Clarksville, TN – Mayoral candidate and Ward 10 councilman Bill Summers will attend Clarksville’s annual 9/11 Ceremony tomorrow, September 11th, 2014, in honor and remembrance of the fallen victims, firefighters, police officers, and other first responders that lost their lives during the events of 9/11.

Clarksville Fire Rescue is hosting the ceremony, which will be held at the Main Fire Station on 802 Main Street. The ceremony will begin at 6:00pm.

Clarksville Mayoral Candidate Bill Summers Supports Arts Consulting Group’s Recommendation

 

Election 2014Clarksville, TN – The location of a future performing arts center in Clarksville has been heavily debated in recent months. The consulting firm hired to study the potential locations and make recommendations, Arts Consulting Group, has released the second phase of their multi-phase study and has recommended the current site of Roxy Regional Theater as a new performing arts center.

Their recommendation mirrors Bill Summers’ vision for the redevelopment of downtown Clarksville – a redevelopment concept that is anchored by a performing arts center located downtown.
