YMCA Race Series kicks off 2016 season With The Gauntlet presented by CDE Lightband

 

Clarksville's YMCAClarksville, TN – Get on your mark, Middle Tennessee: the YMCA Race Series kicks off its 2016 season with the 3rd Annual Gauntlet presented this year by CDE Lightband on Saturday, May 21st.

For its second year, the race is again set to take teams of two on three miles of trails through Rotary Park, with 11 fun and challenging partner obstacles in your route.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certification ProgramMontgomery County, TN – The latest organization to host a Green Ribbon Cutting for becoming Clarksville-Montgomery County Green Certified is the Clarksville YMCA.

Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett, Clarksville Chief of Administration Charlie Gentry and Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce Melinda Shepard were there to congratulate the Clarksville YMCA for their work.

YMCA of Middle Tennessee to close North Clarksville location

 

YMCA announces closures, expansion of Donelson-Hermitage location as part of ongoing long-term sustainability plan

Clarksville's YMCANashville, TN – The YMCA of Middle Tennessee announced today it will close two subsidized wellness centers and will make a strategic reinvestment in an existing facility as part of the nonprofit’s ongoing financial sustainability efforts to ensure long-term fiscal stability systemwide.

The Harding Place and North Clarksville locations will close on or before May 15th, 2015, and an expansion of the Donelson-Hermitage YMCA location is planned to increase capacity to serve more members, including those displaced by the Harding Place closure, many of whom already utilize the Donelson location.
