Clarksville, TN – If you’re an Austin Peay baseball fan, you’ve probably heard the last name ‘Harper’ a few times.
Ralph Harper was a second baseman for the Govs from 1978-81. He hit above .330 his last two seasons and drove in 59 runs as a senior en route to All-OVC honors. After graduation, he eschewed pro ball for dental school at the University of Memphis. He returned to Clarksville after dentistry school to practice his craft and raise two sons.

Clarksville, TN – Lee Ridenhour took a different road to Austin Peay than many that have donned the red-and-white.
The fireballing right-hander stormed out of Shawnee Mission West (Kansas) High School and into a No. 3 starter role for Kansas as a freshman in 2009. He beat then-No. 21 Arkansas in his collegiate debut, dueled No. 1 Texas to a stand-still (six and two-thirds, two runs allowed in a no-decision) and defeated No. 9 Kansas State for his sixth win, the most for a Jayhawk frosh in 15 seasons.

Austin Peay Mens Basketball’s Anthony Campbell’s journey from crutches to comebacks

Clarksville, TN – As he ran back down the floor after hitting the jumper against Central Missouri, Anthony Campbell looked into the stands and announced simply, “I’m back.”
The forward from Illinois has endured much in his time as an Austin Peay athlete. A heart-wrenching OVC Championship loss as a freshman. A wrecked knee his junior year. And then, another knee injury just 10 games into what would be his redshirt junior season.

Austin Peay Athlete of the Week Devin Stark

Clarksville, TN – Senior Devin Stark, of Austin Peay State University football team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Stark caught nine passes for a career-high 124 yards and two touchdowns in the Govs 34-14 road loss to Tennessee State, Saturday. It was also his first season’s first multi-touchdown game, and the third of his career.

Clarksville, TN – After 105 hard-fought minutes, Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team allowed a golden goal off a corner kick to fall to South Alabama, 1-0, Friday at Morgan Brothers Field.
“We have got to learn to put teams away,” said head coach Kelley Guth. “The longer we let the score stay tied the harder it will be to find a way to win.”

APSU Athlete of the Week, Jada Stotts

Clarksville, TN – Sophomore Jada Stotts, of Austin Peay State University volleyball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
Stotts was named Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Week, Monday, for her work at last weekend’s Bama Bash. The Hoffman Estates, IL native led the Lady Govs with 67 kills and was named to the All-Tournament team.
