Nashville, TN - The Predatorss and Jets face-off Thursday night for the first of two meetings in the Music City this season. The Predators have earned at least a point in nine of 10 games against the team formerly known as the Thrashers since 2005-06, going 7-1-2 in that span. Overall, Nashville is 6-2-0 against the Jets/Thrashers on home ice since the 1999-00 season, and have won three straight at Bridgestone Arena dating back to Jan. 30th, 2010.

Nashville, TN - Sunday, the Predators visit the Winnipeg Jets for the first time since the franchise relocated from Atlanta (December 6th, 2010), where it resided from 1999-2011. The Predators have earned at least a point in eight of nine games against the team formerly known as the Thrashers since 2005-06, going 6-1-2 in that span. Overall, Nashville is 3-2-3 on the road against the Thrashers/Jets.
In their last meeting at Bridgestone Arena on March 24th, 2012, Pekka Rinne made 24 saves and Matt Halischuk – now with the Jets – Gabriel Bourque and Shea Weber all scored to lead the Predators to a 3-1 victory over the Jets.
Nashville, TN – Nashville and Los Angeles begin their three-game 2013-14 series Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena. Nashville won two-of-three a season ago, and have won 11-of-19 games against the Kings since the beginning of the 2008-09 season (11-8-0).
The Kings are the only Western Conference team that the Predators have a winning record against on the road (14-11-3), but a losing record against at home (10-14-3).
Nashville, TN – With a slapshot at 3:23 in the 3rd period, Ryan Ellis put the Nashville Predators up 3-2 over the New York Islanders at Bridgestone Arena Saturday night. The Predators defense held the Islander at bay for the rest of the period to seal the win.
“Ryan Ellis’ third goal was a rocket”, stated Nashville Predators coach Barry Trotz. “That’s the way you shoot the puck when you’re between the dots.”
Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators picked up their first win of the 2013-14 season on Tuesday night against Minnesota on a night of firsts for many Predators.
Filip Forsberg tallied his first NHL goal – a five-on-three power-play goal – at the 5:07 mark of the first period. It was Forsberg’s season debut after missing the first two games with a lower-body injury.
Seth Jones recorded his first NHL point with the secondary assist on Forsberg’s power-play marker.
Nashville, TN - The 0-2 Nashville Predators returned to the friendly confines of Bridgestone Arena, in front of a sold-out crowd, and picked up their first win of the season against the Minnesota Wild, 3-2.
Former Predator Ryan Suter was greeted with an arena full of “boo” birds the entire night, a reminder of how he left a bad taste in the mouths of the Nashville faithful when he signed with the Wild.
Both teams entered the match 0-2 in desperate need of a win, and Minnesota struck first.
Nashville Predators at Colorado Avalanche

Nashville, TN – In the Preds’ last trip to the Pepsi Center on March 30th, 2013, goaltenders Pekka Rinne and Semyon Varlamov stole the show, stopping a combined 57-of-58 shots over nearly 61 minutes of play. The Preds would fall 1-0 in overtime, but earn at least a point for the fifth time in their last six trips to Denver (4-1-1 record).
Dating back to November 25th, 2009, the Predators are 5-2-1 at the Pepsi Center, outscoring the Avalanche 28-17. All time, Nashville is 12-12-4 in the Mile High City.
Nashville Predators at St. Louis Blues

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators open their 15th season of play at St. Louis for the second time in franchise history. Nashville dropped a 5-2 decision at the Scottrade Center to start the 2008-09 campaign. The Preds are 7-6-1 all-time in season openers, including a 2-0-2 record in their last four. They defeated Dallas (2009), Anaheim (2010) and Columbus (2011) before dropping a shootout decision to the Blue Jackets in 2013.
In the most recent meeting at the Scottrade Center on February 5th, 2013, the Predators tied a 2012-13 season high in goals as they routed the Blues by a 6-1 margin. Colin Wilson’s career-high three helpers led the offensive charge for Nashville, with Ryan Ellis (1g-1a) and Paul Gaustad (2a) also recording multi-point games. In all, 11 Predators reached the scoresheet.
Nashville, TN - Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has assigned forward Simon Moser to Milwaukee (AHL), finalizing the team’s roster for the 2013-14 season opener at St. Louis on Thursday night.

Forward Viktor Stalberg was also placed on injured reserve, leaving Nashville’s active roster at 23 players.
