Nashville, TN - Austin Peay State University seniors Travis Betran and Will Triggs have been named preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference in a vote of league men’s basketball coaches and sports information directors.
Murfreesboro, TN - Looking for improved play from the bottom part of its starting lineup, Austin Peay State University women’s golf team will head to Old Fort Golf Club, Monday and Tuesday, for the Blue Raider Invitational.
The two-day, 54-hole event (36 holes Monday/18 Tuesday) will be played on the par-72. 6177-yard layout and will feature 15 teams, including host Middle Tennessee. In addition, the Lady Govs also will see Ohio Valley Conference foes Belmont, Jacksonville State, Morehead State, Murray State and Tennessee Tech.
Austin Peay (9-4-2, 4-3-1 OVC) now finds itself mired in a three-match losing streak for the first time since losing to Xavier, Southeast Missouri and UT Martin, Sept. 18th-25th, 2011. With Morehead State defeating Murray State on Sunday, Austin Peay now finds itself in a tie for fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference with SIU Edwardsville.
Clarksville, TN – For the final time in the 2013 regular season, Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team will host an Ohio Valley Conference foe at Morgan Brothers Field, 7:00pm, Friday, when Morehead State visits Clarksville.
The Lady Govs then begin a three-game road trip to conclude the OVC slate with a 12:00pm (CT), Sunday visit to Eastern Kentucky.

The win for Austin Peay (6-13, 3-1 OVC) was its season-best third straight victory, while the Colonels (8-10, 1-3 OVC) have dropped their last three matches.

Clarksville, TN – After a week off, the Austin Peay State University Governors Football team will open Ohio Valley Conference play at the Eastern Kentucky Colonels Saturday, October 5th at 5:00pm CT.
This is the second straight season the Govs have played in Richmond, KY. This will be the 46th meeting, with the Governors trailing the series 5-40. APSU lost to Eastern Kentucky, 45-14, October 13th, 2012, in Richmond.

The defending champion Panthers picked up 12 of the 18 first-place votes in the 2013 poll which is a vote of league head coaches and sports information directors.
Austin Peay State University Governors Baseball wins Third Straight OVC Tournament Title with 6-3 victory over Eastern Kentucky Colonels
Jackson, TN — Austin Peay State University’s baseball team spotted Eastern Kentucky University an early three-run lead, May 25th at The Ballpark at Jackson, in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship game, but rallied to score the final six runs to win its third straight tournament title and a spot in the NCAA tournament field.
Brentwood, TN – The 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Championship field is now set. The event will be held May 22nd-26th at The Ballpark at Jackson (formerly Pringles Park) in Jackson, Tennessee.
This year marks the fourth year in a row the event will be held at the venue, which is home of the Jackson Generals, the AA-affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.
