Nashville Predators beat Colorado Avalanche 3-1 at home

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Nashville Predators entered the Bridgestone Arena tonight desperately needing a win, and that’s just what they got as the Predators defeated the Colorado Avalanche 3-1.

David Legwand proved to be the man in the mix tonight as he scored the game winner, after both teams seemed to play an uninspired hockey game for the first two periods. Even the crowd was off their game tonight.

Nashville Predators recall Chris Mueller from Milwaukee Admirals

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TNNashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Chris Mueller from the Milwaukee Admirals (AHL).

Mueller, 27 (3/6/86), posted three points (2g-1a) during a six-game stint with the Predators from March 15-31. The West Seneca, NY, native has appeared in 25 games for the Predators dating back to the 2010-11 season, posting six points assists (2g-4a). He also has 36 points (18g-18a) in 55 games with the Admirals in 2012-13.

Nashville Predators play Colorado Avalanche at Bridgestone Arena tonight

 

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN – The Colorado Avalanche make their lone visit to Bridgestone Arena in 2012-13 on Tuesday night, the third and final game between them and the Nashville Predators this season and second contest in the last four games.

On Saturday in the teams’ second matinee game at Pepsi Center this season, goaltenders Pekka Rinne and Semyon Varlamov stole the show, stopping a combined 57-of-58 shots over nearly 61 minutes of play. The Predators would fall 1-0 in overtime, but earn at least a point for the fifth time in their last six trips to Denver (4-1-1 record).

Nashville Predators lose in shoot-out to Chicago Blackhawks 3-2

 

Nashville PredatorsChicago, IL- The Nashville Predators took the Chicago Blackhawks to a shoot-out before Michael Rozsival netted the winner past Nashville goalie Pekka Rinne to end the game and give Chicago the win.

Chicago scored first with 11 seconds left in the first period when Brandon Saad slapped a wrist shot past Rinne to end the period 1-o in favor of Chicago.

Nashville PredatorsNashville, TN - The Nashville Predators will look to put Thursday night’s home loss behind them as they travel for a Saturday matinee against the Colorado Avalanche, at 2:00pm CT at the Pepsi Center.

The two teams hook up for their second matinee game this season. The last time the Predators made the trip to Denver for a game it was Presidents Day. Two early goals were too much to overcome for the Predators, as Nashville fell for the first time in 10 games dating back to January 22nd, 2010.
