Clarksville, TN – Prom-O-Rama is coming to Clarksville again and a rainbow of color will be flowing through Miller-Motte Technical College’s (MMTC) campus soon. Hundreds of prom dresses will be collected at MMTC starting February 18th.
In an effort to keep costs down for Montgomery County high school girls attending their proms, MMTC is collecting prom dresses from ladies in the community that wish to sell dresses they will no longer wear, but would like to sell.

Survivor Spa Day Celebrates Breast Cancer Survivors with the YMCA’s ABC (After Breast Cancer) Program
Clarksville, TN – Miller-Motte Technical College and the Clarksville YMCA’s ABC (After Breast Cancer) Program are working together to celebrate the community’s breast cancer survivors.
The month of October is breast cancer awareness month and ABC has participated in several events honoring the program’s participants during October.
Clarksville, TN – Counselors from each Montgomery County high school were treated to lunch and information. Suicide Prevention Among LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered) Youth was presented by Stephanie Chadwell of Tennessee Lives Count.
Ms. Chadwell encouraged recognition and acknowledgement of student’s feelings and suggested that the counselors provide a safe environment for these students to come and discuss their feelings and concerns.
Clarksville, TN – Miller-Motte Technical College’s Career Services office is full of boxes. MMTC is dressing their students for success. “Suit-Up for Success,” is a benefit provided to all Miller-Motte students and once every quarter suits overrun the Career Services office.
The program provides each student with a free suit to wear upon graduation when seeking employment. Suit-Up for Success ensures that every student can feel confident when they go on interviews.

Clarksville, TN – People always want to leave a hair salon looking more attractive than when they first walked in, and meeting expectation is the goal of Standing Ovations, a well-known Clarksville hair studio which is located at 2764-C Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
The studio is owned by James and his wife Kawanda Moss, and first opened its doors in October, 1996.

Clarksville, TN – On Monday April 2nd, Miller-Motte Technical College held Hair Show Madness. An event designed to allow the senior students in Miller-Motte’s cosmetology clinic classes to showcase their talents. Specially invited guest judges were each given 3 tickets which could be awarded to indicate their favorite hair show booths.
Campus Director Gina Castleberry was one of participating judges for the event. She said, “The Miller-Motte cosmetology students made me so proud today. Not only did they create unique hairstyles, they also created entire marketing plans and demonstrations to show everyone. Some of the students even included nails and makeup with their hairstyle demonstrations. Final senior projects are always creative, but this time they really took it to the next level.”
