The Panthers are 6-1 in the OVC and 12-7 overall, watching a nine-game winning streak snapped against the Racers. As a result, the Panthers slipped behind the unbeaten Racers in the OVC West Standings.

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUEdwardsville, IL – Austin Peay State University’s bench production has been an issue all season long but Thursday night it sunk to a new low.

Governors reserves managed just one point compared to 19 for SIU Edwardsville as the Cougars pulled away late for a 69-65 decision in Ohio Valley Conference action at the Vadalabene Center.

Clarksville Academy Cougars see Stewart County pull away late in 65-51 loss

 

Clarksville Academy CougarsDover, TN – Clarksville Academy’s boys basketball team only trailed Stewart County High School by three points heading into the final quarter, Monday, December 29th at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium in the final day of the Rebels Christmas Classic, but they were outscored 18-7 in the final stanza to come away with a 65-51 loss.

The Cougars (3-8) entered the final quarter only down three points, 47-44, but only scored one point in the first four-and-a-half minutes of the fourth quarter, as the Rebels (8-8) extended their lead out to eight points, 53-45 with 3:31 left.

Northwest Vikings use speed, height advantage to down Clarksville Academy Cougars in Rebels Christmas Classic

 

Northwest High School VikingsDover, TN – Northwest High School’s boys basketball team used its speed and height advantage to the fullest, Saturday, December 27th in the opening day of play in the Stewart County Rebels Christmas Classic at the Bill Craig Memorial Gymnasium, as the Vikings came away with a 59-48 victory over Clarksville Academy.

The Vikings (9-7) guards would hound the Clarksville Academy guards right from the opening tip, forcing several turnovers – both in outright steals, or in forcing bad passes out of bounds.

Rossview Hawks extend win-streak to three with last-second victory versus Logan County

 

Rossview High School HawksClarksville, TN – Rossview High School’s boys basketball team got a driving layup from Javon Vaughn in the final seconds, Tuesday, December 23rd in the final game of its own Christmas Classic, to defeat Logan County (KY) High School, 57-56, and extend its win streak to three games.

The Hawks (8-5) had seen Logan County take its final lead of the contest, 56-55, with two free throws by Noah Whittinghill, with 24 seconds left.

Rossview would bring the ball up, but got trapped in the corner, forcing a timeout, with 14.1 seconds left.

Clarksville High Wildcats pull away late versus Clarksville Academy Cougars for 29-22 victory at Basketball Jamboree

 

Clarksville High School WildcatsServall Termite & Pest ControlClarksville, TN – Clarksville High School’s boys basketball team outscored Clarksville Academy 9-1 over the final 3:11, Thursday, November 6th in the APSU Dunn Center in the Montgomery County High School Basketball Jamboree, to pull away for a 29-22 victory.

The Cougars took their final lead of the game, 21-20, on two free throws by Ian Campbell with 3:36 left in the scrimmage, but the Wildcats followed by putting together its best run of the game in scoring six straight points to take the lead for good.
