Clarksville Police Department releases Alcoholic Beverage Commission Operation results from May 12th, 2015

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Tuesday, May 12th, 2015, Alcohol Beverage Control Agents of the Clarksville Police Department Special Operations Unit, in conjunction with Tennessee State Alcohol Beverage Control Agents, conducted compliance checks targeting sales of alcohol to persons under 21 years of age.

Clarksville Police Department releases Alcoholic Beverage Commission Operation results from February 11th, 2015

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Wednesday, February 11th, 2015 Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Agents of the Clarksville Police Departments Special Operations Unit conducted compliance checks on nine businesses targeting sales of alcohol to underage persons. Four of the businesses checked were cited for selling alcohol to underage persons.

Captain Craig Gipson, the Special Operations Unit Commander, stated, “Since January 1st, forty-three businesses have been checked for compliance with ten businesses or 23 percent being cited for selling alcohol to underage persons. Clarksville Police Department issues Badges to Newest K-9s Koda and Leo

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Police Department’s newest Police Service Dogs, Koda and Leo were presented with their own personalized badges. The idea for the badges was the brain-child of Captain Craig Gipson, Special Operations Commander.

Officer Kendrick Harris is the handler for KODA and Officer Mark Wilson is the handler for LEO.

Clarksville Police Captain Craig Gipson graduates FBI National Academy

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Department Captain Craig Gipson graduated from the 251st Session of prestigious FBI National Academy on December 14th, 2012.

The 251st Session  consisted of 260 men and women from law enforcement agencies from, 49 states, the District of Columbia, 29 International countries, four military organizations, and six federal civilian organizations.

Clarksville, TN – Captain Craig Gipson says he’s been in a uniform since he was seventeen, so it was only natural that when he left military service after a twelve year career, that he would become a cop.

Clarksville Police Service Dogs Badge Presentation

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On May 1st, 2012, Clarksville Police Department’s Police Service Dogs were presented with their own personalized badges. The idea was the brain-child of Capt Craig Gipson, Special Operations Commander.

When Officer Joey Scruggs’, retired Police Service Dog, “Q” passed away, Captain Gipson came up with the idea of a departmental badge for the department’s Police Service Dogs since they are, essentially, the K-9 handlers law enforcement partner.

Clarksville Police Shopping with Young Shoppers

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – There were a lot of smiling faces out at all three Clarksville Wal-Marts today. 60 Young shoppers and their families spent some time shopping with the Clarksville Police Department in an annual shopping spree sponsored by the Fraternal Order of Police.

The young shoppers were selected from the Angel Tree program and received $100.00 each for their shopping pleasure.
