Columbia, MO – Coming off two impressive tournament championships in as many weeks, Austin Peay State University men’s golf team will close out its regular-season schedule, Monday and Tuesday, when it travels into mid-Missouri for the Sixth Annual Columbia Orthopaedic Group-Mizzou Tiger Intercollegiate, to be played at The Club of Old Hawthorne.

This is week 2 of the league race after 10 teams opened the campaign last weekend, including Eastern Illinois which lost a three game series to SIU Edwardsville.

APSU Baseball’s Cody Hudson named Athlete of the Week

Clarksville, TN – Senior outfielder Cody Hudson, of the Austin Peay State University baseball team, has been named the Copies in a Flash APSU Athlete of the Week.
The Germantown native hit .500 (11-for-22) in five games last week, leading the Govs to a 5-0 record that included four come-from-behind victories. He drove in 11 runs, scoring five himself, and added a home run, a double and three stolen bases.

Clarksville, TN - Another day, another set of national honors for a pair of Austin Peay State University baseball players. Senior outfielder Cody Hudson was named the Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week by CollegeBaseballInsider.com, Wednesday. In addition, senior closer Tyler Rogers was named the Central Region Pitcher of the Week by the same website.

APSU’s Cody Hudson named Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Player of the Week

Nashville, TN – Austin Peay State University senior outfielder Cody Hudson has been named the Tennessee Sports Writers Association’s Player of the Week, Monday.
Hudson, of Germantown, TN, also was named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Player of the Week after batting .500 (11-for-22) with 11 RBI and three stolen bases to help the Govs post a 5-0 mark during the week. He posted multiple hits in each of the five games during the week, including three game-winning hits.

Brentwood, TN – Austin Peay State University senior outfielder Cody Hudson and senior closer Tyler Rogers were named the Ohio Valley Conference’s Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, Monday.
Hudson, of Germantown, TN, batted .500 (11-for-22) with a home run, 11 RBI and three stolen bases over the five-game span. He had three game-winning hits, including two walk-off hits, during the week.

APSU Governors Baseball faces Indiana State and Lipscomb in mid-week games

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay begins its final preparations for Ohio Valley Conference play when it hosts Indiana State in a 5:oopm, Tuesday contest before traveling to meet Lipscomb in a 4:00pm, Wednesday affair.
The Govs will conclude what has been a successful 12-game homestand with Tuesday’s contest. Austin Peay then begins a stretch where it will play eight of its next 11 games on the road when it travels to Nashville, Wednesday.

Clarksville, TN – Left fielder Cody Hudson put down a perfect bunt as third baseman Kevin Corey raced home and scored to give Austin Peay State University‘s baseball team a 4-3 victory in 10 innings against Milwaukee, Friday afternoon, in the Riverview Inn Classic at Raymond C. Hand Park.

APSU to host Riverview Inn Classic this weekend

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University‘s baseball team continues its 12-game homestand when it hosts the Riverview Inn Classic, Friday-Sunday, at Raymond C. Hand Park.
The six-game, round-robin tournament will feature APSU vs, Creighton, Milwaukee and University of Arkansas-Little Rock(UALR) with two games scheduled each day. It will be the first time Austin Peay has met Creighton and UALR on the baseball diamond, while Milwaukee returns for the 19th meeting in the series after a one-year hiatus.
