APSU to host House of Worship crime prevention workshop

cptconlineThe Department of Public Safety of Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee will host a House of Worship Crime Prevention Workshop on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 9:00AM till 1:00PM. Crime prevention specialists from Crime Prevention Training Concepts, LLC will serve as instructors. Churches represent a unique crime prevention challenge for law enforcement.  Because of their very nature, churches are open and trusting.

Public Notice: Justice Assistance Grant Public Comment session

The City of Clarksville and Montgomery County intend to submit a joint application for the 2009 Byrne Justice Assistance Grant in the amount of $486,980, with the funds to be shared $219,141 to the County and $267,839 to the City to be used for traditional law enforcement and crime prevention activities. Any person wishing to make a comment regarding use of funds is invited to attend a public comment period April 30th, 2009 at 1:00 pm.  This session will be held downstairs in the patrol briefing room at The Clarksville Police Department, 135 Commerce St., Clarksville, Tennessee.

Crime prevention seminar for seniors

The Clarksville Police DepartmentOn April 10th, 2008, the District One Community Policing Officers will be hosting a Crime Prevention Seminar, which will focus on senior citizens. This event will be held at the Park Lane Church of The Nazarene, 225 Cunningham Lane, Clarksville, Tennessee and is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm. This is a free event and everyone is invited.
