Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Fort Defiance to host medical display this Saturday, May 23rd

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Fort Defiance Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street, will host a medical display Saturday, May 23rd from 10:00am – 5:00pm.

The display will feature a collection of medical tools and medicines used during the Civil War along with commentary and informal question and answer sessions with Mark Britton.

Clarksville’s Fort Defiance Interpretive Center to host Civil War Medical Display

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – The Fort Defiance Interpretive Center, located at 120 Duncan Street, will host a medical display Saturday, May 24th from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

The exhibit will feature presentations by Mark Britton and include a collection of medical items used during the 19th century to include necessary tools for blood-letting, various surgical procedures and preparation of period medicinal products.

Civil War Artifacts to be displayed at Clarksville’s Fort Defiance Interpretive Center Saturday

 

Fort Defiance Interpretive CenterClarksville, TN – The Fort Defiance Interpretive Center will display artifacts from the American Civil War, such as weapons, accoutrements, and personal items from the average soldier Saturday, April 12th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The Fort Defiance Interpretive Center is located at 120 Duncan Street.

In addition to the artifact display, John Walsh will be on hand to answer any questions.
