Clarksville, TN - The Queen City Road Race Art Contest is underway for students in grades 1st through 5th. Two semi-finalists from each participating school will be selected and awarded an art kit and certificate.
Among those semi-finalists will be the top three finalists who will also win a Subway party for their art class. As well as those prizes, the first place winning artist will win a framed poster of their artwork, an official race t-shirt featuring their artwork and $100.00 for their art class.

Clarksville, TN – Montgomery County Relay for Life held the kickoff for the 2013 Relay for Life yesterday at the Hilldale Baptist Family Life Center Soccer Field. Hundreds of Cancer Survivors along with community members gathered to raise funds to help the American Cancer Society seek a cure for cancer.
Relay for life is the world’s largest grassroots fundraising movement, and truly shows that one person, one idea can make a huge difference.
Clarksville, TN – The 35th Annual Queen City Road Race, scheduled for this Saturday, May 4th, is quickly approaching. Be aware that as the 5K and 7K race routes take runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, there will be several road closures to accommodate the safety of the runners.
The south bound lane of North 2nd Street to Main Street will be closed as well as the eastbound lane of College Street, and University Avenue to 8th Street. The Queen City Road Race event is a Clarksville tradition promoting fitness and fun for all ages. The 7K and 5K race route takes runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, beginning and ending at Austin Peay State University’s Governors Stadium, while the One Mile Movement takes you on an exciting tour of a portion of the APSU campus.
For over thirty years, hundreds of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Fort Campbell school students, teachers and family members have participated in this Clarksville tradition.
Clarksville, TN – Hilltop Supermarket held their 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 30th. The event kicked off at 11:00am with activities such as inflatables, face painting, cupcake decorating and more.
The Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department was selling hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. Homestead BBQ & More from Hopkinsville, KY came to the event and was selling their award winning barbeque. Central Pizza was also there giving away free slices.
Clarksville, TN – Hilltop Super Market will hold their 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30th, 2013. Activities begin at 11:00am and the easter egg hunt will begin at 2:00pm sharp.
There will be inflatables, face painting, cupcake decorating, festivities, games, fun and prizes for children of all ages.
