Rain didn’t dampen the kickoff of 2013 Montgomery County Relay For Life

 

Montgomery County Relay for LifeClarksville, TN – Montgomery County Relay for Life held the kickoff for the 2013 Relay for Life yesterday at the Hilldale Baptist Family Life Center Soccer Field. Hundreds of Cancer Survivors along with community members gathered to raise funds to help the American Cancer Society seek a cure for cancer.

Relay for life is the world’s largest grassroots fundraising movement, and truly shows that one person, one idea can make a huge difference.

35th Annual Queen City Road Race is this Saturday

 

35th Annual Queen City Road RaceClarksville, TN – The 35th Annual Queen City Road Race, scheduled for this Saturday, May 4th, is quickly approaching. Be aware that as the 5K and 7K race routes take runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, there will be several road closures to accommodate the safety of the runners.

The south bound lane of North 2nd Street to Main Street will be closed as well as the eastbound lane of College Street, and University Avenue to 8th Street. 35th Annual Queen City Road RaceClarksville, TN – The 35th Annual Queen City Road Race will be Saturday, May 4th. Registration is going on now.

The Queen City Road Race event is a Clarksville tradition promoting fitness and fun for all ages. The 7K and 5K race route takes runners through the streets of Historic Downtown Clarksville, beginning and ending at Austin Peay State University’s Governors Stadium, while the One Mile Movement takes you on an exciting tour of a portion of the APSU campus.

For over thirty years, hundreds of Clarksville-Montgomery County and Fort Campbell school students, teachers and family members have participated in this Clarksville tradition.

Hilltop Supermarket’s 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt

 

Hilltop SupermarketClarksville, TN – Hilltop Supermarket held their 18th Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 30th. The event kicked off at 11:00am with activities such as inflatables, face painting, cupcake decorating and more.

The Cunningham Volunteer Fire Department was selling hotdogs, hamburgers, etc. Homestead BBQ & More from Hopkinsville, KY came to the event and was selling their award winning barbeque. Central Pizza was also there giving away free slices.
