Clarksville Parks and Recreation announces Kleeman Community Center to offer free trial of new arts program, “VIVID”

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – If you are searching for a way to relax, VIVID’s visual healing arts program could be just what you’re looking for, and Clarksville Parks and Recreation wants to let you try it for free!

Those 50 and older can test the program for free at 10:30am on Monday, August 3rd while ages 16 and older are invited to try their hand at VIVID at 6:00pm on Tuesday, August 4th. Both classes will take place at the Kleeman Community Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation extends Registration deadline for Wonder Kids Triathlon

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – If you have haven’t registered your child for the 3rd Annual Wonder Kids Triathlon, there is still time! Clarksville Parks & Recreation has extended the registration deadline to July 27th, 2015. This event is open to boys and girls ages 3-12 years-old and will take place at New Providence Pool and surrounding area of 166 Cunningham Lane on Saturday, August 1st, 2015.

Just like in a traditional triathlon, the Wonder Kids Triathlon athletes will participate in three legs of the event: swimming, biking and running.

Clarksville Police and Clarksville Parks & Recreation strive to “Bridge the Gap” with Summer Night Lights program

This however, is not the case in Clarksville where Parks and Recreation is joining forces with the Clarksville Police Department to bring forth “Bridging the Gap Week” as a part of the Mayor’s Summer Night Lights program on Monday, July 20th at the Kleeman Community Center and Wednesday, July 22nd at Summit Heights from 5:30pm to 9:00pm each night. Clarksville Police Officers arrest Two Juveniles for Robbing Pizza Delivery Worker

 

Arrest made only a Day after the Incident due to Excellent Police Work

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, June 1st, 2015, due to Clarksville Police Officer Todd Bell’s excellent police work and CPD Detective Andy Hurst’s investigative skills, two juveniles were arrested for the pizza delivery worker Robbery that occurred at Orchard Park Apartments on May 31st, 2015 only one day after the incident.

It all started when Officer Bell responded to a suspicious person with a weapon call near the intersection of Minglewood Drive and Cunningham Lane.  Officer Bell observed the suspect throw a gun into the wood line.
