Clarksville Parks and Recreation now accepting registrations for Wonder Kids Triathlon

 

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is excited to host the 3rd Annual Wonder Kids Triathlon to be held August 1st! This event is open to boys and girls ages 3-12 years-old and will take place at New Providence Pool and surrounding area of 166 Cunningham Lane.

Just like in a traditional triathlon, the Wonder Kids Triathlon athletes will participate in three legs of the event: swimming, biking and running.

Clarksville Police Officers arrest Two Juveniles for Robbing Pizza Delivery Worker

 

Arrest made only a Day after the Incident due to Excellent Police Work

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On Monday, June 1st, 2015, due to Clarksville Police Officer Todd Bell’s excellent police work and CPD Detective Andy Hurst’s investigative skills, two juveniles were arrested for the pizza delivery worker Robbery that occurred at Orchard Park Apartments on May 31st, 2015 only one day after the incident.

It all started when Officer Bell responded to a suspicious person with a weapon call near the intersection of Minglewood Drive and Cunningham Lane.  Officer Bell observed the suspect throw a gun into the wood line. Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN –  Now that the Indoor Aquatic Center is closed for the summer season, the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department will open four of their public pools on Saturday, May 23rd.

Clarksville Police Department to provide Car Seat Inspections, Traffic Safety Information at Natural Living Fair

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On April 11th, 2015 from 10:00am—2:00pm at Park Lane Church of the Nazarene on 225 Cunningham Lane, the Clarksville Police Department will be available for car seat inspections, will provide assistance for the proper installation of child restraints, and will provide traffic safety information at the First Annual Natural Living Fair.

Clarksville Park and Recreation’s “Wettest Egg Hunts” spots are filling up fast

 

Indoor Aquatic Center - New ProvidenceClarksville, TN – A not-so-typical egg hunt will once again be hosted at the Indoor Aquatic Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane.

On Saturday, March 28th, thousands of colored eggs will be floating or sunk in the center’s pools, each good for candy and prizes. An adaptive egg hunt will be offered for children and adults with special needs at 11:00am with the remaining hunts for children ages 1 to 11 following from 1:00pm to 7:00pm.
