Clarksville Parks and Recreation gears up for the Summer Season

Clarksville Parks and Recreation DepartmentClarksville, TN – Clarksville Parks and Recreation is excited to open four public swimming pools and four splash pads on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 for the summer season.

Pools are open daily through August 5th. Admission is $5.00 daily, after 3:00pm admission is $3.00. Seasonal and year-round pool memberships are also available. Hours vary by location, see below for hours of operation. Concessions are available for purchase onsite at each pool. No outside food or drinks are allowed.

Clarksville Police are looking for Female and Child for Welfare Check

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are trying to contact an unidentified female for a welfare check, who was seen on video surveillance from an establishment on Cunningham Lane.

The female was carrying a naked child on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 around 11:15pm along Cunningham Lane. The female was exhibiting erratic behavior, wandering aimlessly, and did not have any clothes in her hands for the child.

Clarksville Police are trying to locate a Female and Child to check on their well being.

Clarksville Police are Looking for Aggravated Robbery Suspect Patrick Titus Booker

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are looking for Patrick Titus Booker age 31. He has an Aggravated Robbery warrant on file.

On Friday, February 16th, 2018 around 6:00pm, a 29 year old man was picking up two of his friends on Pollard Road. A third unknown person was at the scene when the victim arrived. When the victim parked his car, the unknown male approached the victim, pointed a handgun at his head, demanded everything he had, and then discharged the handgun.

Patrick Titus Booker is being sought by Clarksville Police for an aggravated robbery that took place on Pollard Road.

Clarksville Police Department creates “Exchange Zone”

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Online transactions and internet sales have increased significantly as the public turns to the use of more convenient methods for shopping.  Along with the increase of technology and internet related transactions, there has been an increase in consumer fraud. 

The Clarksville Police Department has seen thefts and robberies associated with in-person transactions on the rise. 

In an effort to better serve our community and establish an area which would be safer to conduct in-person transactions, CPD is establishing an “Exchange Zone” at the 211 Cunningham Lane precinct.

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – Making a difference isn’t always readily evident or something you can point out and say, “Look what I achieved”. But, that doesn’t mean you don’t keep trying.

The Clarksville Police Department has been in a long term partnership with the Montgomery County Learning Center, commonly referred to as Genesis, for over four years. Officers have interacted with the young adults in many different ways: basketball game challenges, lectures, mentoring, open and honest conversations, and providing guest speakers who have come from many walks of life just to name a few.

Clarksville Police reports over 1100lbs of Old and Unused Medicine Safely Disposed Of

 

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – The old and unused medicine drop boxes at Clarksville Police Department’s three locations has taken in over 1100 lbs. (1127.15 lbs.) of medications for 2017, helping to reduce the potential for medicine abuse and the negative impact on the environment by improper disposal.

The drop boxes are available between the hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm at three different CPD locations: 135 Commerce Street, 211 Cunningham Lane, and 1584 Vista Lane.

Clarksville Fire Stations, Recreation Centers serve as Warming Centers

City of Clarksville - Clarksville, TNClarksville, TN – Clarksville Fire Stations and City Recreation Centers are serving as temporary warming centers for people who need emergency relief from the severe cold that is expected to grip Middle Tennessee for the next several days.

Clarksville Police Department officers also are on the lookout for people who may need assistance and shelter during the cold spell.
