Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators continue their road trip with a visit to the New Jersey Devils on Sunday at the Prudential Center. This will be the first of two meetings between the two clubs this season.
The Predators and Devils last met up on October 15th, 2011, as the post-overtime tiebreaker was needed once again. The Predators jumped out to an early lead with a two-goal first period, but the Devils responded with a two-goal period of their own in the third to force overtime. After a scoreless overtime period, Ilya Kovalchuk beat Pekka Rinne in the shootout to secure the win for New Jersey.

Nashville, TN - The Nashville Predators open their 15th season of play at St. Louis for the second time in franchise history. Nashville dropped a 5-2 decision at the Scottrade Center to start the 2008-09 campaign. The Preds are 7-6-1 all-time in season openers, including a 2-0-2 record in their last four. They defeated Dallas (2009), Anaheim (2010) and Columbus (2011) before dropping a shootout decision to the Blue Jackets in 2013.
In the most recent meeting at the Scottrade Center on February 5th, 2013, the Predators tied a 2012-13 season high in goals as they routed the Blues by a 6-1 margin. Colin Wilson’s career-high three helpers led the offensive charge for Nashville, with Ryan Ellis (1g-1a) and Paul Gaustad (2a) also recording multi-point games. In all, 11 Predators reached the scoresheet.

Nashville, TN – The National Hockey League released the 2013-14 regular-season schedule for the Nashville Predators today. The first season of realignment maintains Nashville’s divisional rivalries with the Chicago Blackhawks and the St. Louis Blues, and also features new division rivals against the Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, Minnesota Wild and Winnipeg Jets.
Fans in Nashville will also see every Eastern Conference team make a stop at Bridgestone Arena in 2013-14.
Nashville, TN – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed forward Eric Nystrom to a four-year, $10 million contract. He will make $2 million in both 2013-14 and 2014-15 and $3 million in 2015-16 and 2016-17.
Nystrom, 30 (2/14/83), has spent the last two seasons with the Dallas Stars, posting 11 points (7g-4a), 61 penalty minutes and ranked among the League leaders in hits (122) while playing in all 48 games in 2012-13, and 21 points (16g-5a) in 74 games during his last full campaign in 2011-12.
