Employees Voice Safety Concerns

Clarksville, TN - A grievance filed by an employee at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission has raised safety concerns among several other employees.

John Stanley Williams filed a grievance on March 20th 2013, with Dr. David Ripple, Planning Commission Director, aimed at RPC employee, Audrea Smithson, claiming a “hostile” work environment and preferential treatment.  In his grievance, he claims that Smithson has been  treated more favorably for sick leave, and personal days that she has taken.  «Read the rest of this article»

Employee caught submitting fraudulent expenses

Clarksville, TN – An employee at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Commission has filed a grievance claiming a “hostile” work environment.  That same employee was recently reprimanded by Planning Commission Director Dr. David Ripple, for submitting fraudulent expense reports and overcharging local, state and federal agencies for his travel expenses.

John Stanley Williams filed a grievance this week claiming that Audrea Smithson, a fellow RPC employee, has been treated more favorably as it relates to sick leave, comp time and absences from the office and he and “others” are asking for an outside/independent agency to review Smithson’s records, interview staff members and report their findings to the executive committee. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan announces Design Review Task Force Members

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan will host the first organizational meeting of the newly appointed Design Review Task Force on February 5th, 2013 at 3:00pm.

The public meeting will take place in the City Hall Conference Room on the fourth floor of City Hall. New Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Director ready to get past controversy

Montgomery County, TN – When Dr. David Ripple applied for the position of Clarksville-Montgomery County Regional Planning Director in Clarksville Tennessee, he had know idea that one, he was not the first choice, and two, he was walking into the biggest controversy the Regional Planning Commission has ever seen.

Dr. Ripple, 65, was very excited about the opportunity to live in Clarksville because of it’s proximity to Evansville Indiana, where he still has a son, and where he calls home.
