Clarksville City Council - Ward 2Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Citizens, you may have read recently that the costs to customers of Clarksville Gas and Water are going up to cover the debt that was taken out to rebuild the Waste Water Treatment Plant after the 2010 Flood.

Clarksville City Council Regular Session Recap of April 4th, 2013

 

Clarksville City Council - Ward 10Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville city council met in its usual first Thursday of the month, April 4th, regular session.  It was a short, but potent agenda that lasted for a couple of hours.

Ordinance 67 (Ethics) – This was the second and final vote on this long and drawn out process. I proposed three amendments with one being approved. The successful amendment added a section to the Ethics Commission process requiring nominees fill out a questionnaire. «Read the rest of this article»

The Republican Party chose Keith Svadba as Chairman, Claudia Erb as Women Co-Chair, David Cooper as Men Co-Chair, Rita Wilson as Recording Secretary, Carol Duffin as Corresponding Secretary, Helga Redd as Treasurer, Art Carpenter as Assistant Treasurer, and Michael Jenkins as Publicity Chair.

She would meet NBA star Anthony Davis with the New Orleans Hornets.

Clarksville City Council Regular Session Recap for December 13th, 2012

 

Clarksville City Council - Ward 10Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville City Council met on Thursday, December 13th, not the Charter-mandated first Thursday of the month date, for its regular session. It was interesting that, as part of the agenda, the approval of prior council meeting minutes is required.

The usual council regular session should have met December 6th, but the mayor went out of the country and evidently did not want to miss the council meeting, so she moved it. However, the mayor had the council minutes written for a December 6th council meeting stating that due to a lack of a quorum, no meeting was held and the agenda would be considered on December 13th. «Read the rest of this article»
