TWRA announces 2014-15 Deer Hunting Season Coming to a Close

 

3,228 Deer Harvested in Montgomery County

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – Deer hunting season is coming to a close in Tennessee. The gun season for deer concludes on January 4th while the second Young Sportsman Hunt for 2014-15 is January 10th-11th.

For the Young Sportsman Hunt, youth, 6-16 years of age are allowed to participate. The young sportsmen must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult at least 21 years of age who must remain in a position to take control of the hunting device. «Read the rest of this article»

TWRA announces 2014-2015 Gun Season for Deer begins November 22nd

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – Tennessee’s gun season for deer an annual opening on the Saturday before Thanksgiving which this year falls on November 22nd for 2014-15.

For the fourth year, sportsmen will find one continuous season that will continue through January 4th, 2015. The continuous season replaced the previously two segmented hunting seasons that were in place prior to 2011.

Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission holds last Meeting of 2012

 

Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency - TWRANashville, TN – The Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission held its final meeting of 2012 in a special one day meeting on Friday, November 30th.

The commission heard from Mike Patterson, a Middle Tennessee sportsman, voicing concerns about planned restrictions by the U.S. Corps of Engineers allowing boating access below dams along the Cumberland River.
