By Bill Larson | September 22, 2006 | Print This Post

Just say no, RepublicansIn the Leaf Chronicle the Clarksville, TN newspaper today was a editorial “Bush has proved to be lawless, reckless: Centrists who support Jefferson’s values are starting to gain strength” by David Broder. Of course this brought the Republican wingnuts out of the woodwork, and they immediately launched into their tactic of attacking anyone who dares to disagree with them.

Some tasty quotes, “lock-stepping with the liberal press”, “The anti-American crowd”, “fools”, “Typical liberal lies and drivel”. They have been drinking the Republican’s kool-aid for too long. Of course, I felt the need to respond. So here goes…. «Read the rest of this article»

A response to Sandy Castle’s Letter to the Editor

By Bill Larson | September 15, 2006 | Print This Post

Tim BarnesShe wrote a letter to the editor which paraphrased says basically, “Don’t blame the Republicans, it’s all the Democrats fault”. She however mentioned only one candidate, Tim Barnes which made me respond. If she kept the letter as non-specific I might have let it pass. An update on the Bush Administration and the Politics of Fear

By Bill Larson | August 15, 2006 | Print This Post

TSA airline checkpointWhen I am right, I am right! I said in my August 11 piece, that you should take these new claims of terrorist plots with a grain of salt. Since then my premise has been confirmed. Here’s some new examples.

There was a recent piece by MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann on his Countdown show, which covered the history of using Terrorism and Terrorists by politicians especially Republican ones for Political Gain. It’s very damning and you should really go watch it, it’s also available on Crooks and Liars where I first learned about the piece! Then come back here, and read the rest of this article! «Read the rest of this article»

Non-debates get us no where

By Blayne Clements | August 14, 2006 | Print This Post

Kathl;een Parker VS michael moore

According to Kathleen Parker (August 14), having a blog and expressing a strong political opinion is akin to “Stalinist tactics”. Such words would not apply to any right winger editorialist like herself of course, but only to those such as the “operative” Michael Moore.

Parker describes a recent blog by Moore as a “manifesto…straight out of Stalin’s playbook”. The blog merely states his strong opinion that the next democrat presidential candidate be anti-war. «Read the rest of this article»
