Clarksville, TN – TheFestival is pleased to announce that the Grammy nominated and CMA award-winning country musician Jo Dee Messina will be the featured headliner at the 2013 Festival. Messina will take the Public Square stage at 7:00pm as the main event on Saturday, April 20th, 2013. The concert is free and open to the public.
She will perform some of her biggest hits that made her a superstar and one of country music’s leading ladies. Songs such as “Heads Carolina, Tails California”, “Bye Bye”, “I’m Alright”, “Stand Beside Me” and “Bring On The Rain” will make up a concert you don’t want to miss.
Miss Tennessee USA, and Miss Teen Tennessee USA pageants begins tonight at Austin Peay State University
Clarksville, TN - This weekend Clarksville, Tennessee once again plays host to the Miss Tennessee USA and Miss Teen Tennessee USA pageants. Tonight kicks off the preliminary competition with the Miss Tennessee USA pageant beginning at 6:30pm and the Miss Teen Tennessee USA pageant beginning at 8:30pm the music and mass communication building at .
The finals rounds of the pageants will be held on Saturday with Miss Tennessee Teen USA starting off at 3:30 PM, followed by the Miss Tennessee USA finals at 8:00pm.
Clarksville, TN – This afternoon, September 25th, the USS LST 325 made it’s way down the Cumberland River from Nashville and docked at the McGregor Park Boat Ramp around 3:00pm. Crews began tying the boat off to the banks and preparing it for tomorrows tours. The ship will be available for tours September 26th-30th.
The LST (Landing Ship, Tank) is a floating monument to the past. The ship was used in various missions in World War II including the invasion of Sicily. Visitors are able to climb aboard and explore the ship as the crew provides a glimpse into her past.

Clarksville, TN – The final day of the 2012 Festival on Saturday opened with unseasonably cooler weather to the point of being really chilly. Warm coats, hats, and/or gloves were the order of the day. Turnout started out slow, and might have been a little bit depressed over all from previous years as a result, but the people who did come out had a really great time!

Freeze was a part of a class project, through the APSU Design Center, that came up with several comps of artwork for the 2013 Festival poster.

Austin Peay State University Design Center Students Present 2013 Rivers & Spires Poster Concepts tonight
Clarksville, TN – Tonight, February 20th at 7:00pm, students in this semester’s Design Center class atwill be presenting their concepts for the 2013 Rivers & Spires Festival poster at a reception held in the Trahern Building Gallery. The public is welcome to attend the event.
