APSU Baseball plays annual Red-White World Series Friday

 

Austin Peay State University Governors Sports - APSUClarksville, TN - Austin Peay State University’s baseball team will put a bow on its fall schedule when it plays the annual Red-White World series. This season’s three-game intrasquad series begins with a 6:00pm, Friday contest and continues with contests both Saturday and Sunday at Raymond C. Hand Park. Admission is free to each game of the series.

APSU Governors Baseball concludes Signing Period, Add Six in Spring

 

Austin Peay State University Governors Sports - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team completed its 2014 recruiting class, adding an infielder and five pitchers in the spring signing period.

Joining the Govs in the spring signing period were right-handed pitcher Caleb DeLee, of Collierville, TN; infielder Alex Robles, of Tucson, AZ; right-handed pitcher Jake Corum, of Blaine, TN; right-handed pitcher Mark Hendrick, of Albuquerque, NM; and right-handed pitcher Shane Lantigua, of Bartlett, TN.

Austin Peay State University Governors Baseball wins Third Straight OVC Tournament Title with 6-3 victory over Eastern Kentucky Colonels

 

Austin Peay State University Governors SportsJackson, TN — Austin Peay State University’s baseball team spotted Eastern Kentucky University an early three-run lead, May 25th at The Ballpark at Jackson, in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament championship game, but rallied to score the final six runs to win its third straight tournament title and a spot in the NCAA tournament field.

APSU Governors Baseball set to begin Second Round of OVC Tournament Thursday

Austin Peay State University Baseball ends regular season with 16-5 win over SIU Edwardsville Cougars

 

Austin Peay State University Governors SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team defeated SIU Edwardsville 16-5, on May 18th at Raymond C. Hand Park, to sweep its three-game Ohio Valley Conference series versus the Cougars.

With the win, the 12th in a row to end the regular season, the Governors earn a second place finish in the OVC regular season standings – which gives Austin Peay a first-round bye in the OVC tournament in Jackson, TN.

Austin Peay State University Baseball picks up 11th straight win with 10-8 victory over SIU Edwardsville

 

Austin Peay State University Governors SportsClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s baseball team got out to a 7-1 lead after three innings May 17th versus SIU Edwardsville, but had to hold off the Cougars at the end for a 10-8 Ohio Valley Conference victory.

Austin Peay (41-13, 21-7 OVC) would get out to an early lead, just four batters into the game, on their fifth home run of the series to get out to a 2-0 lead.
