Fort Campbell MWR, 2nd Brigade Combat Team “Strike” hold Colorful Fun Run

2nd Brigade Combat Team - StrikeFort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Over 200 Soldiers, family members, retirees and community members joined the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division, and Fort Campbell’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation for a colorful fun run here Saturday.

A color run is a 5k “fun run” in which participants are blasted with brightly-dyed corn starch throughout the course.

Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour “Color Run” to be held July 18th at Fort Campbell

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – The July Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour (ECFT) event will be Fort Campbell’s first color run. This is the perfect opportunity to get the Family out to have fun! The first 1500 registrants will receive a goody bag so don’t wait register now!

The Color Run will take place July 18th at 7:00am at the Alpha 11 Field (large grass area across from Sabalauski Air Assault School).

101st Airborne Division “Strike” Engineers put the mud, in mud run at Fort Campbell

Fort Campbell, KY – Engineers from Company A, 39th Brigade Engineer Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), paved lanes for the mud run during the warrior challenge obstacle, hosted by morale, welfare, and recreation (MWR), June 20th Saturday.

In preparation for The Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour, engineers from 3rd Platoon cleared paths, constructed obstacles, drained stagnant water and cleared fallen trees from the trail.

Fort Campbell Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour Warrior Challenge and Mud Run

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – The June event for the Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour (ECFT) will be a SOF Warrior Challenge and Mud Run on June 20th. This event is for age 16 and over. There will be a Junior Course for age 15 and under with a recommended minimum age of 8.

Registration fee will include one coupon for a beverage of your choice, excluding the Junior Course. You must be 21 and over to consume alcohol.

Group warm up starts at 7:30am at the Central Railroad Operating Facility (CROF).

Fort Campbell MWR to hold “Just Tri Youth Triathlon” March 14th

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell MWR is holding a “Just Tri” Youth Triathlon for ages 6 to 18 at the Gardner Indoor Pool. There will be an Eaglet Run for ages 4 and 5. This is also an alternative Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour (ECFT) event for youth.

The Youth Triathlon will take place March 14th. Check will be from 7:30am to 8:15am. The Eaglet Run will begin at 8:45am and the Triathlon will begin at 9:00am.

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Join us at Fryar Stadium on November 15th for the Culminator – the final 2014 Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour (ECFT) event. The Culminator will consist of a 10K, 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run.

First place medals will be presented to the top finishing WTU Soldier, top finishing Stroller participant, and to the overall male and overall female in both the 10K and the 5K races. First, second and third place medals will be presented to the top three finishers in each age division of the 10K and the 5K races.

Fort Campbell MWR to hold Youth Triathlon on August 16th

 

Fort Campbell's Morale, Welfare and Recreation - MWRFort Campbell, KY – Youth, ages 6 to 18, are invited to participate in the Fort Campbell Youth Triathlon on Saturday, August 16th.

The event will begin at Gardner Pool, located at 2191 Tennessee Avenue with check in from 7:30am to 8:15am. The safety briefing will be at 8:30am.

Children who are ages four and five may participate in the Eaglets Run, beginning at 8:45am. The Youth Triathlon will begin at 9:00am. Strollers will be allowed on the bike and run courses if parents want to go alongside their children.

Fort Campbell, KY – The Screaming Eagle community came together today at the historic 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Parade Field on Fort Campbell, KY, to participate in the 2nd Annual Functional Fitness Challenge, which was one of the Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour (ECFT) 2014 events.

Exactly 101 registered competitors came out in the early, drizzly morning to take-on the nine events in the circuit training focused course.

Fort Campbell’s Second Annual Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour Warrior Challenge

 

2014 Eagle Challenge Fitness TourFort Campbell, KY – Join the Fort Campbell community for our June Eagle Challenge Fitness Tour event. Fort Campbell MWR, along with 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne) and the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), will host a Warrior Challenge on June 21st.

This is Fort Campbell’s second annual mud run and this year’s course will bring different obstacles, along with a new set of fears to overcome! You will have to muscle, run, jump, climb and crawl your way through nearly six miles of challenging terrain.
