Clarksville Parks and Recreation celebrates National Kids to Parks Day with two fun events

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Saturday, May 18th is National Kids to Parks Day! The Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating with two events that can get children out of the house and having a ball.

The Spring Family Campout will be held Saturday, May 18th at Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road.  Families can camp overnight at the park for only $20.00 per family, up to six members, or $5.00 per individual.  Dinner and breakfast will be provided and pre-registration is required at recpro.cityofclarksville.com. «Read the rest of this article»

Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department announces Billy Dunlop Park to reopen after flooding

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – After today’s evaluation of our flooded parks, Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road, will reopen tomorrow while Liberty Park, Trice Landing and McGregor Park will remain closed for the time being.

Friends of the Clarksville Blueway to host cleanup at Billy Dunlop Park

 

Clarksville BluewayClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department and the Friends of the Blueway are hosting a cleanup at one of the City parks. Join the Friends on October 20th from 8:00am to 10:00am at Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road.

Clarksville Parks and Recreation reports Billy Dunlop Park to closed to the public July 26th

 

Clarksville Parks and RecreationClarksville, TN – Billy Dunlop Park, located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road, will be closed to the public Thursday, July 26th, 2012 for the Clarksville Police Department’s Teen Citizen Police Academy.

The park will reopen to the public at dawn on July 27th, 2012.

Sleep under the StarsClarksville, TN – The City of Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department invites you to sleep under the stars at Billy Dunlop Park. Registration is underway for the fall family camp out beginning at 2:00pm Saturday, October 1st, until 9:00am Sunday, October 2nd, at the park located at 1930 East Boy Scout Road. Activities will include a bonfire, archery, games, ghost stories and lots of fun!

The Family Campout is $5.00 per person or $20.00 per family (up to 6 members) and will include an afternoon and evening of games and fun as well as a hot dog dinner and breakfast provided Sunday morning.
