Austin Peay State University trails in OVC Commissioner’s Cup All-Sport trophy

 

Ohio Valley ConferenceBrentwood, TN – After the completion of the winter sport championships, Eastern Illinois University has taken the lead in the 2012-13 Ohio Valley Conference Commissioner’s Cup all-sport trophy standings; the Cup is a symbol of overall athletic excellence in Conference-sponsored championships.

Austin Peay’s Bruce Myers co-recipient of OVC’s Thurston Banks Award

 

Ohio Valley ConferenceBrentwood, TN – Dr. Bruce Myers and Dr. Gail Richard have been named the inaugural winners of the Ohio Valley Conference Thurston Banks Award for Distinguished Academic Service.

The award was established to recognize an individual (e.g. academic advisor, professor, tutor, etc.), with at least five years of service at one or more OVC member institutions, for his or her outstanding contributions to OVC student-athletes’ academic success, learning and development as well for his or her overall commitment to the institution’s athletics program.

CMCSS selects Christopher Neidigh as New Assistant Principal for Kenwood High School

 

The Clarksville-Montgomery County School SystemMontgomery County, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County School System has named Christopher Neidigh the new assistant principal at Kenwood High School for the upcoming school year. His most recent experience was as principal at Somonauk High School in Illinois, where he has served for the past three years.

Belmont University to join the Ohio Valley Conference

Ohio Valley ConferenceBrentwood, TN – The Ohio Valley Conference announced on Friday that Belmont University has been admitted to the Conference and will become the league’s 12th member. The move was approved by the OVC Board of Presidents.

Belmont will officially become a member of the OVC on July 1st, 2012 and its athletic teams will begin competing in the Conference in the 2012-13 season.
