Austin Peay State University Football takes on No. 5 Jacksonville State, Saturday

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – For the fourth time this season Austin Peay State University’s football team will face a ranked Football Championship Subdivision team when the Govs travel to Jacksonville State, 3:00pm, Saturday in JSU Stadium.

But this will be the first time the Governors will face a Top 10 team. Previously the Govs face No. 14/17 Chattanooga, No. 22/23 Illinois State and No. 18/19 Eastern Kentucky.

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team will take its final home bow of the 2014 campaign with a pair of Ohio Valley Conference contests. The Lady Govs first host Tennessee Tech in a 6:00pm, Friday contest before Jacksonville State visits the Dunn Center for a 1:00pm, Saturday matchup.

Austin Peay State University releases APSU Lady Govs 2015 Softball Schedule

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s softball team will play four in-season tournaments, including their first home tourney since 2011, while totaling 29 home games to highlight its 2015 schedule.

“We’re looking to compete a little bit better this year and I think our schedule shows that,” Austin Peay coach Stephanie Paris said. “It’s not going to hurt us to play great teams before we get into Ohio Valley Conference play, so we’re looking at going to some tournament to play some high-caliber teams and getting tested a little bit early.”

Austin Peay State University releases 2015 Baseball Schedule

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUClarksville, TN – Games against Tennessee and Memphis highlight the 2015 Austin Peay State University’s baseball team’s schedule, announced Wednesday.

The Govs, who play a November 1st scrimmage against Tennessee, will face the Volunteers during the regular season with a 5:00pm contest on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th). Nearly one month later, Memphis will visit Raymond C. Hand Park for the first time since 2007 with an April 14th contest.

Austin Peay State University Governors Golf wins F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate

 

Austin Peay State University Governors - APSUHopkinsville, KY – Senior Tucker Wallace and freshman Jonas Vaisanen each fired third round 70s to help Austin Peay State University men’s golf team expand its lead en route to the team title at the F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate, Tuesday, at The Links at Novadell.

Austin Peay entered the round with an eight-shot lead, but thanks to Wallace and Vaisanen expanded its lead to eight shots at tournament’s end. The Govs, who won their home tournament for the ninth time in 15 tries, finished with an 842 (278-280-284) total that was 22-under par. UT Martin (850) finished second followed by Eastern Kentucky (851). Belmont and Southern Illinois were tied for fourth with 854s.
