Cookeville, TN –‘s not-so-positive trademark has been slow starts during its recent losing streak. Saturday night represented its worst start of 2013.
Tennessee Tech jumped out to a 13-2 lead and never looked back as it rolled past the Governors, 70-52, in Ohio Valley Conference basketball action played at the Eblen Center.

If the Govs can capture a victory, it would not only be their first OVC road victory this season, but their first road win period as well in 2012-13.

Cookeville, TN – With its second best offensive performance this season, ’s volleyball team ended a nine-match losing streak with a three-set sweep (25-14, 25-23, 25-17) of Tennessee Tech in Ohio Valley Conference action, Saturday afternoon, at the Eblen Center.

Cookeville, TN – Currently assured of only the fifth seed in the upcoming Ohio Valley Conference Basketball Championship, Austin Peay women’s basketball team will look to remain in the race for a top-four finish when it meets league-leading Tennessee Tech in a 5:30pm, Saturday contest at the Eblen Center.
The Lady Govs ran their win streak to a season-best four games with a 56-53 victory at Jacksonville State, Thursday. Austin Peay nearly surrendered a double-digit lead for the second consecutive game, but survived a 16-turnover second-half for the win. The victory secured APSU a top-five finish in the regular-season race and they remained tied with Eastern Illinois for fourth place overall.
APSU Women’s Basketball
Jacksonville, AL – Austin Peay women’s basketball team begins its only February roadtrip when it visits Jacksonville State for a 7:00pm, Thursday, Ohio Valley Conference contest at Pete Mathews Coliseum.
The Lady Govs recently finished a three-game homestand with an unblemished record. Austin Peay closed the homestand with a 74-66 victory against Tennessee State, Saturday. The Lady Govs led by 20 points in the second half but had to hold on late to secure the victory. Offensively, the Lady Govs saw five players score 10 or more points for the second consecutive game.
APSU Women’s Volleyball
Cookeville, TN – Sophomore Nikki Doyle posted 14 kills to lead’s volleyball team to a three-set sweep (25-13, 25-19, 27-25) of Tennessee Tech in Ohio Valley Conference action, Friday night, at the Eblen Center.
Austin Peay (12-2, 3-0 OVC) got good performances both offensively and defensively. The Lady Govs offense recorded 43 kills and a .284 attack percentage. Meanwhile, the defense registered 50 digs and six blocks to hold the Tennessee Tech offense to 29 kills and a .084 attack percentage.
