APSU Lady Govs Volleyball concludes season at Morehead State

 

Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUClarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team concludes its 2013 regular season when it faces Ohio Valley Conference regular-season champion Morehead State in a 5:00pm, Saturday contest at Wetherby Gymnasium.

Austin Peay (12-20, 9-6 OVC) enters the regular season’s final match battling for seeding. The Lady Govs could end up as high as the fourth seed with a win or fall to the sixth seed with a loss, depending on results elsewhere in the league.

Austin Peay Lady Govs LogoRichmond, KY - Austin Peay State University women’s soccer team came out on the wrong end of a back-and-forth affair against Eastern Kentucky, Sunday, dropping a 3-2 contest at EKU Soccer Field.

Austin Peay (9-4-2, 4-3-1 OVC) now finds itself mired in a three-match losing streak for the first time since losing to Xavier, Southeast Missouri and UT Martin, Sept. 18th-25th, 2011. With Morehead State defeating Murray State on Sunday, Austin Peay now finds itself in a tie for fourth in the Ohio Valley Conference with SIU Edwardsville.

APSU Governors Football falls to Eastern Kentucky Colonels 38-3

 

Austin Peay State University Governors Sports - APSURichmond, KY - Battling offensive issues all night, Austin Peay State University’s football team opened Ohio Valley Conference play with a 38-3 loss to Eastern Kentucky, Saturday night, at Roy Kidd Stadium in front of 7,400 fans.

The Governors remained winless overall at 0-5 while Eastern Kentucky improves to 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the OVC. It was APSU’s 21st straight road defeat.
