Clarksville Police arrest Scott Murphy for Hit and Run on Tiny Town Road

 

Tiny Town Road Hit and Run occurred on April 4th, 2014

Clarksville Police Department - CPDClarksville, TN – On April 22nd, 2014 at 8:07pm, 30 year old Scott Lee Murphy, a Clarksville resident, was taken into custody on outstanding warrants.

When Mr. Murphy was interviewed, he admitted to driving the vehicle and fleeing the crash scene. Mr. Murphy stated he had outstanding warrants and was scared and did not know what he struck with the vehicle.

Clarksville Fire Rescue personnel to be honored by Mayor Kim McMillan at City Council Meeting Thursday

 

Clarksville Fire RescueClarksville, TN – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan, at the regular session of the City Council meeting on Thursday, May 1st at 7:00pm, will recognize the following Clarksville Fire Rescue personnel for their heroic action in saving the life of the occupant of a trailer fire that occurred on April 9th on Evans Road.

Due to their Bravery, and determination, this lady is alive and on the road to recovery. Let’s turn out for this recognition for a show of support for a job well done.

Montgomery County Shooting suspect arrested in Indiana

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Jacob Hammond and Amber Lehman were apprehended Saturday around 10:00pm on February 22nd, 2013, outside of a motel in Evansville, Indiana.

United States Marshals and Vandenburgh County Indiana Sheriff’s deputies apprehended both Hammond and Lehman along with Jonathan Buckner, who is also from Clarksville, Tennessee. A sergeant, with the Vandenburgh Sheriff’s Office, stated that all three were in possession of firearms along with ingredients to make meth.

Clarksville Police release names from accident on Purple Heart Highway

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Monday, January 21st, a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant was traveling east on Purple Heart Highway when a 2000 Lincoln LS traveling north from Evans Road rolled through a STOP sign and was hit by the oncoming Galant.

The man taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center by Lifeflight was Kendall T. Ashby, age 28. He is now in stable condition.

Clarksville Police report Man Lifeflighted to Vanderbilt after Vehicle rolls through Stop Sign into the path of an oncoming Vehicle

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – On Monday, January 21st, around 8:20pm, a 2006 Mitsubishi Galant driven by 36 old woman was traveling east on Purple Heart Highway when a 2000 Lincoln LS, driven by a 19 year old male traveling north from Evans Road, rolled through a STOP sign into the path of the oncoming Galant.

The Galant crashed into the Lincoln behind the driver’s side rear tire area.

Clarkville Police arrest 2 Adults and 2 Juveniles for damaging the Indoor Aquatic Center

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – The Clarksville Indoor Aquatic Center, 166 Cunningham Lane was targeted and damaged twice over a two day period.  Police took two separate reports in reference to vandalism and burglary to the Aquatic Center which took place between January 4th and 6th.

On January 4th/5th, it appears as though entry was not actually made inside of the center but the damage was done primarily to the exterior dome.

Tennessee State Representative Johnson announces road improvements slated for Montgomery County

 

The Seal of the State of TennesseeNashville, TN – Representative Curtis Johnson (R-Clarksville) today released information he received from the Tennessee Department of Transportation regarding an update on state road projects in Montgomery County. The report includes an update on Exit 11 on Interstate I-24 near Sango Road where the engineering is now underway.
 
“I am very pleased that we are moving on the Exit 11 / Sango Road Project on I-24,” said Representative Johnson. “This is important to many citizens in our area due to an increase in traffic and more accidents occurring at this intersection.
