Austin Peay State University Lady Govs - APSUEvansville, IN – A much cleaner offensive effort produced a positive result as Austin Peay State University’s volleyball team won its first match of 2014 with a four-set win (25-23, 25-21, 22-25, 25-12) at Evansville, Tuesday, at the Carson center.

Montgomery County Shooting suspect arrested in Indiana

 

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - MCSOClarksville, TN – Jacob Hammond and Amber Lehman were apprehended Saturday around 10:00pm on February 22nd, 2013, outside of a motel in Evansville, Indiana.

United States Marshals and Vandenburgh County Indiana Sheriff’s deputies apprehended both Hammond and Lehman along with Jonathan Buckner, who is also from Clarksville, Tennessee. A sergeant, with the Vandenburgh Sheriff’s Office, stated that all three were in possession of firearms along with ingredients to make meth.

Austin Peay State University Governors Sports - APSUEvansville, IN – Austin Peay State University men’s tennis team concluded a weekend sweep, downing Southern Indiana, 7-2, in late Saturday action.

The Govs move to 5-1 on the season while handing Southern Indiana, ranked 22nd in Division II, its first loss of the spring 2014 campaign.

No Lady Gov was pushed to three sets and two didn’t drop a game during the course of play against the Screaming Eagles.

Clarksville Police, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies efforts lead to capture of TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted, Danyon Dowlen

 

Clarksville Police DepartmentClarksville, TN – A joint effort between the Clarksville Police Department, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, and the U.S Marshals has lead to the apprehension of one of TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted, Danyon Lydell Dowlen.

On Monday, Clarksville Police Officer, Ryan Steinlage received a citizen tip about Dowlen possibly being in the Evansville, Indiana area and passed the information onto the lead investigator, Detective Demone Chestnut.

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Tennis

Austin Peay State University Lady GovsEvansville, IN – Austin Peay State University women’s tennis team showed marked improvement at the Tri-State Athletic Club, Saturday, against Evansville. Although the Lady Govs fell to 0-3 on the season, the 5-2 loss was a step in the right direction for head coach Ross Brown’s squad.
