Clarksville Police Traffic Enforcement Special Statistics on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Patrol and traffic enforcement officers were out in force Wednesday on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard between 3:00pm and 5:00pm in an effort to reduce crashes.

Clarksville Police report Vehicle Runs Off the road when Driver looks down to Operate a GPS

Clarksville, TN – On February 11th, 2013, around 10:45am, Brooklyn Miller, 19, of New Johnsonville, TN, was traveling south on the 41A-Bypass in a 2002 Chevy Impala, looked down to operate a GPS, left the right side of the roadway, traveled approximately 200 feet, and came to rest on the side of a hill near Queens Bluff Way.
The driver was wearing a seat belt and uninjured.

Clarksville Police report 88 Traffic Crashes Over the Labor Day Weekend

Report for August 31st- Sept 3rd
Clarksville, TN – There were no shortages of traffic crashes over the Labor Day weekend which ran from August 31st thru September 3rd, 2012.
Clarksville Police investigated 88 crashes over the long weekend, 16 involved injuries, and four were alcohol related. Three of the alcohol related crashes occurred before 9:00pm on August 31st.

Clarksville Police Department Increased Traffic Enforcement Statistics from July 19th

Clarksville, TN – On July 19th, 2012, the Clarksville Police Department stepped up traffic enforcement on Fort Campbell Boulevard from North Second Street to Stateline Road due to the increase in crashes occurring on the roadway. Police made 122 vehicle stops.
Since January 1st, 2012 there have been 322 crashes on Fort Campbell Boulevard, 106 of those were injury crashes, 160 were rear-end collision, and 100 were angle crashes.

Clarksville Police report Driver distracted by a Vehicle that ran off the road Crashes

Clarksville, TN – On April 4th, 2012, around 7:00am, 2002 GMC pickup, driven by Jerry Swift, 60, was traveling north, had just crossed the Red River Bridge when the driver blacked out, crossed the southbound Lanes of Wilma Rudolph Boulevard, went over a curb, and crashed into the rock wall.
After the crash occurred, a Chevy S-10, driven by Billy Dinsmore, 33, was traveling northbound on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in the left lane and slowing down.
