Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University celebrates the seniors and graduate students who earned degrees at its 85th commencement exercises on December 12th, 2014. In addition, the university has released its Dean’s List for the Fall 2014 semester.
Diplomas will be available for pickup on February 9th, 2015 in the Ellington Building, Room 316.

Dr. Mary Lou Witherspoon, professor of mathematics and the 2012 APSU National Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award recipient, will be the keynote speaker at both commencement events.

Austin Peay State University 2011 Distinguished Professor Award recipient to address 700-plus degree candidates
Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University will send off 733 candidates for degrees during dual Fall Commencement ceremonies December 16th in the Dunn Center.
Dr. Bert Randall, professor of philosophy and the 2011 APSU National Alumni Association Distinguished Professor Award recipient, will be the keynote speaker at both commencement events.
The faculty member who earns the Distinguished Professor Award in May serves as commencement speaker at APSU’s fall graduation.
Randall holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the university of Oklahoma. He has a B.S. in mathematics from Maryville College, a Master of Divinity in theology from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary and a Master of Arts. «Read the rest of this article»
Clarksville, TN – In 1971, the U.S. Army established at Austin Peay State University the Army Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) for recruiting, training and commissioning future Army officers.
In the 40 years since, hundreds of cadets have been commissioned at APSU as second lieutenants in the Army. The program also has earned the reputation as one of the nation’s finest, having won several awards for training and management performance standards. Clarksville, TN – Students scheduled to graduate in December from Austin Peay State University will have an opportunity next month to participate in Grad Finale, an event designed to make sure all preparations have been made for fall commencement.
Grad Finale will be from 2:00pm–6:00pm, October 11th and from 10:00am-2:00pm, October 12th, both in the Morgan University Center Ballroom.
