Clarksville Police add Criminal Homicide Warrant to TBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted Danyon Dowlen

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police Detective Demone Chestnut has secured a Criminal Homicide warrant on Danyon Dowlen in conjunction with the shooting death of Charles Sims.

An eyewitness who was present before, during, and after the gunfight advised there was an exchange of gunfire between Dowlen and Sims. As a result of the confrontation, Charles Sims was fatally shot by Dowlen.

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville Police are asking for the public’s assistance to locate Danyon Lydell Dowlen, (DOB 9-28-73). He has a warrant on file for Felon in Possession of a Firearm; Bond: $100,000 and is wanted for questioning in the shooting death of Charles Wilbert Sims.

Clarksville Police are looking for a Man for Questioning in the Shooting Death of Charles Sims

Clarksville Police Need the Public’s Assistance in Locating Danyon Lydell Dowlen

Clarksville, TN – A man, Danyon Lydell Dowlen, is wanted by Clarksville Police for questioning in the shooting death of Charles Wilbert Sims (also known as Tutu) and has a warrant on file for Felon in Possession of a Firearm; Bond $100,000.

Police are looking for Dowlen and believe he is in the local area, but may be trying to flee from Clarksville.

An eyewitness came forward and advised law enforcement that Danyon Dowlen and Charles Sims were involved in a gun fight within the same area where the Sims’ body was found.

Clarksville Police Negotiate Man with Warrants out of Residence

Clarksville, TN – On June 12th, 2012, around 1:15pm, Clarksville Police received information that Abdujuan Napper who had  warrants on file would be at a residence on Needmore Road. They were also told the man normally carries a weapon, was off his medications, and was in possession of at least three knives.

When officers arrived at the residence, they heard a female arguing with a male inside of the residence. Police contacted the woman and told her to come outside.
