Nashville, TN – Edwin Maysonet hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Nashville Sounds a 4-3 victory over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Monday night at Greer stadium.
The last at-bat victory was Nashville’s 15th of the season, which also snapped a four-game losing streak.
With the scored tied at 3-3 entering the bottom of the ninth, outfielder Khris Davis worked a leadoff walk, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, advanced to third on a infield groundout, and came home on Maysonet’s hit to score the game-winning run in his Sounds debut.

Albuquerque Outfielder Jerry Sands Ties PCL Record With Two Grand Slams In Nightcap
Nashville, TN – Albuquerque outfielder Jerry Sands belted a pair of grand slams and drove in 10 runs on the night to power the Isotopes to a doubleheader sweep of the Nashville Sounds on Sunday evening at Greer Stadium.
Sands delivered a game-winning two-run double to lift the ‘Topes to a 4-2, extra-inning win in the opener before capping his night by tying a PCL record with two grand slams off Seth McClung in the nightcap.

Nashville, TN – Outfielder Matt Angle homered and drove three as the visiting Albuquerque Isotopes blanked the Nashville Sounds, 7-0, in the opener of a four-game series on Friday night at Greer Stadium.
The shutout loss was Nashville’s seventh of the season and also snapped a three-game winning streak.
Isotopes starter Fernando Nieve (5-6) allowed four hits over six shutout innings for a quality start and victory.

Doubleheader Scheduled For Saturday Evening
Nashville, TN – Tonight’s scheduled homestand opener at Greer Stadium between the Nashville Sounds and Albuquerque Isotopes has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions resulting from heavy rains throughout Middle Tennessee this week.
The game will be made up as part of a 6:05pm doubleheader on Saturday evening, when the two teams will play a pair of seven-inning games.

Nashville Sounds Enters Break With Ninth Win In Last 12 Contests
Memphis, TN – Right-hander Mark Rogers worked seven outstanding innings and combined with three reliever on a four-hit, 2-0 shutout of the Memphis Redbirds on Sunday evening at AutoZone Park in the finale of a five-game series.
With their league-leading 10th shutout victory, the red-hot Sounds (40-51) recorded a 4-1 series win against the cross-state rival Redbirds. Nashville enters the All-Star break with wins in nine of its last 12 contests.

Nashville Sounds Unable To Complete Late Comeback As Series Evens At One Apiece
Albuquerque, NM – Scott Van Slyke’s seventh-inning RBI double gave Albuquerque its first lead of the night and propelled the Isotopes to a 4-2 victory over the Nashville Sounds on Sunday evening at Isotopes Park.
The loss dropped Nashville (31-46) to just 2-15 in games decided by two runs this season. The Sounds had runners on base in every inning except the fourth but were only able to get a run to the plate in the third frame.

Albuquerque, NM – The Nashville Sounds belted five home runs to beat the Albuquerque Isotopes, 8-4, on Saturday night in the opener of a four-game series at Isotopes Park. With homers in a season-high seven consecutive games, the five home runs set a season high for Nashville (31-45) and was one long ball shy of a franchise record.
The victory was Nashville’s (31-45) fifth in the last seven contests overall first to begin a road trip this season (1-6).
