2016 Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade

 

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County gathered together in front of the Montgomery County Historic Courthouse this past Saturday, November 5th to honor our veterans, as well as those who are still serving their country.

The day started off at 9:00am with a Veterans Day Ceremony. Veterans Service Organization director Frank Mir gave the opening remarks followed by the 101st Airborne Division Honor Guard Posting the Colors.

Congressman Marsha Blackburn to Host Veterans Workshop

 

U.S. CongressClarksville, TN – On Monday, March 7th, 2016, Congressman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) will host a Veterans Workshop at the William O. Beach Civic Hall in Clarksville from 12:00pm – 2:00pm.

Congressman Blackburn, Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett and City of Clarksville Chief of Staff Bill Harpel will deliver opening remarks. A panel of representatives from the Tennessee Department of Veterans Services, Fort Campbell, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Regional Office, the Veterans Service Organization of Montgomery County, the American Job Center and others will be on site to discuss opportunities and services they provide, as well as offer an opportunity for Tennessee veterans and retirees to ask questions about their benefits.

Clarksville-Montgomery County Memorial Day Service honors those who died serving our Country

 

Montgomery County Veterans Service OrganizationClarksville, TN – On Monday, May 25th, the Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization held its annual Memorial Day Ceremony. Due to rain, the ceremony was held in the William O. Beach Civic Hall, Veterans Plaza in Clarksville Tennessee.

The ceremony was opened by Frank Mir, the Director of the Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization. Mir welcomed the dignitaries and attendees to the Memorial ceremony. The colors were posted by the 101st Airborne Division Honor Guard, and Stella McKnight sang the National Anthem.

Montgomery County Veterans Service OrganizationClarksville, TN – The Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization hosted its annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday May 26th, at Veterans Memorial Park in Clarksville Tennessee.

The ceremony was opened by Frank Mir, the Director of the Montgomery County Veterans Service Organization; who welcomed the dignitaries and attendees to the Memorial ceremony. The colors were posted by the 101st Airborne Division Honor Guard, and Stella McKnight backed up by the 101st Airborne Division band sang the national anthem. The Rev. Jodi McCullah the Executive Director of Soldiers and Families Embraced gave the Invocation.

2013 Clarksville-Montgomery County Veterans Day Parade

 

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville-Montgomery County gathered together in front of the Montgomery County Courthouse yesterday to honor our veterans, as well as those who are still serving their country.

Military service is one of the highest forms of patriotism and with our close proximity to the Fort Campbell Army post Clarksville-Montgomery County is home to a significant veteran population. They are part of the fabric of our community.
