Nashville Sounds fall at home to Round Rock Express, 11-5

 

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds lost 11-5 on Saturday night against the Round Rock Express at First Tennessee Park. It was the Sounds first lost game of a six-game series. The Express offense was hot, hitting four home runs off Nashville pitchers.

Garrett Stubbs hit a two-run home run to get Round Rock on the board first in the third inning.

Zack Granite hit a triple in the bottom half of the third and scored on a passed ball to give the Sounds their first run of the game.

Nashville Sounds get 6-3 win at Round Rock Express

 

Nashville SoundsRound Rock, TX – The Nashville Sounds used four home runs to beat the Round Rock Express, 6-3. Seth Maness allowed just one run in five innings in his second win of the season.

Patrick Wisdom hit the first home run for the Sounds to lead off the second inning. Hunter Cole would hit his own solo homer in the third inning to give the Sounds a 2-0 lead.

Round Rock would respond with a run in the bottom of the third when Myles Straw singled to score Garrett Stubbs to make it a 2-1 game.

Nashville Sounds fall at Round Rock Express, 10-4

 

Nashville SoundsRound Rock, TX – Round Rock Express cruised to a 10-4 win over Nashville Sounds Thursday night. Yordan Alvarez got things going for Round Rock with a three-run home run in the bottom of the first and gave the Express a quick 3-0 lead.

The Sounds hit back-to-back home runs to tie the game up in the top of the fourth. After Andy Ibanez led off with a single, Matt Davidson hit a two-run blast for his 13th homer of the season. Eli White followed him with a homer himself, his third of the year and his second of the road trip. It was 3-3 after four innings.

Nashville SoundsRound Rock, TX – The Nashville Sounds got solo home runs from Jett Bandy and Willie Calhoun, and a solid start from Taylor Hearn in a 3-1 win over the Round Rock Express at Dell Diamond Tuesday night.

Prior to the two long balls, the Sounds got on the board on a Danny Santana triple and Andy Ibanez RBI groundout in the second inning.

Bandy extended the Sounds’ lead immediately in the third when he launched a solo homer to deep left field to make it a 2-0 game. It was Bandy’s first home run of the season and the fourth for Nashville.

Nashville Sounds beat Fresno Grizzlies, 6-2

Nashville SoundsNashville, TN – The Nashville Sounds led from start to finish in a 6-2 win over the Fresno Grizzlies in front of a sellout crowd of 11,227 at First Tennessee Park Friday night. The victory extended Nashville’s winning streak to five games.

The win completed a three-game sweep of the Grizzlies – the first three-game series sweep for the Sounds since the 2007 season.

Starters Frankie Montas of Nashville and Brady Rodgers of Fresno started the game locked in a pitchers’ duel. Both right-handers put up zeroes in the first three innings.
