Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team makes its second trip this season down I-24 for a meet at Tennessee State.
The TSU Invitational starts 6:00pm, Friday, with the pole vault at the Dunn Center on the third floor before moving to the Gentry Center for the remainder of competition, beginning at 8:00am, Saturday.

Bloomington, IN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team struggled to get over the hump at this weekend’s Indiana Relays. Personal-bests were scarce for the Lady Govs on a weekend that featured some of the nation’s top teams.

Nashville, TN – After a promising start, Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team finished seventh at 2012 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Tennessee State at the Gentry Center.

Nashville, TN – Senior Tanesha Campbell, of the Austin Peay State University women’s indoor track and field team became an individual champion in the shot put and put the Lady Govs in second place after Day One of the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships, Friday.

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Track and Field
Clarksville, TN – It’s the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track and Field Championship, beginning Friday, for Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team, hosted by Tennessee State at the Gentry Center.
The two-day championship features 16 events, beginning Friday with the long jump, high jump, shot put, distance medley relay and 5,000-meter finals. Also on Friday are the prelim races in the 55-meter hurdles, 800-meter run, 400-meter dash, 55-meter dash, high hurdles and 200-meter dash.

APSU Sports: Austin Peay Women’s Indoor Track and Field
Columbus, OH – Austin Peay women’s indoor track and field team prepared for the Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Championships at the OSU Tune-Up, hosted by Ohio State.
The OSU Tune Up proved to be a highly competitive meet, featuring host Ohio State, Ohio University, Marshall, Miami (Ohio), Wright State, along with individuals from Cincinnati. The Lady Govs came away with seven personal bests, picking up eight top-5 finishes and winning the 1600-meter relay.

Clarksville, TN – After a disappointing finish against Southeast Missouri, Austin Peay looks to regain momentum when it plays host UT Martin, 7:30pm, Saturday, in Dave Aaron Arena.
The Governors, who trailed by as much as 17 first-half points, rallied all the way back to lead in the contest, 60-59, but SEMO ended the game on a 6-0 run to defeat the Governors, 65-60, Thursday night in Ohio Valley Conference action at the Show Me Center.

Clarksville, TN – Austin Peay will start the second half of its Ohio Valley Conference schedule against Tennessee State in a 5:15pm, Saturday contest at the Dunn Center. Both teams have struggled since opening the OVC schedule against each other – Austin Peay sits in ninth place one game behind eighth-place Tennessee State.
The Lady Govs have lost their last four outings, including both ends of last week’s road trip through Illinois. The Lady Tigers went 1-1 in their two contests last week, including an overtime home win against Morehead State. Tennessee State won the OVC opener between the two teams, 95-81 on December 29th, in a game that saw Austin Peay whistled for 32 fouls which led to 48 TSU free throws.

Nashville, TN – Austin Peay State University women’s track and field team returned from Christmas break and put forth a solid performance at the 13th Annual Ed Temple Classic hosted by Tennessee State at the Gentry Center.
Coming into the event the 1600-meter relay was the race to watch for the Lady Govs. The relay team of Sharese Braziel, Chantelle Grey, Candace Johnson, and Taelor Slaughter did not disappoint, taking home fourth place with a time of 4:04.63.
