Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – The Wizardry World of Harry Potter visits Woodlands Nature Station during Spring Break, March 22nd through April 7th, at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area. Programs for all ages will be offered daily and included with general admission: ages 13 and up $5.00; ages 5-12 $3.00; ages 4 and under free.
“What could be more fun than combining learning about nature with Harry Potter,” said Aviva Yasgur, Naturalist at the Nature Station. “These programs offer fun for the whole family, while providing valuable learning experiences, too.”
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Educational Field Trip Grants offer public schools an opportunity to visit Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area for the 2017-2018 school year. Educators must apply by Friday, April 28th, 2017.
Field Trip Grants assist schools in covering: costs for facility admission fees at Woodlands Nature Station, Homeplace 1850s Working Farm, and Golden Pond Planetarium; program costs; and dorm rental at Brandon Spring Group Center during the 2017-2018 school year.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Visitor facilities at Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area began late fall and winter operation schedules in November.
Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Woodlands Nature Station will offer various guided programs, including the popular Bald Eagle Van and River Cruise Tours. Starting November 25th, Planetarium visitors will experience vivid laser lights set to holiday music and other holiday shows digitally projected on a 40-foot dome. Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area has opened the camping reservation system to accept early reservations for August 14th-August 23rd, 2017. A total solar eclipse will occur in the region on Monday, August 21st, 2017.

Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – The Golden Pond Planetarium and West Kentucky Amateur Astronomers present Choosing and Using Binoculars and Telescopes following the 5:00pm evening planetarium program Saturday, November 14th, in the Golden Pond Visitor Center. The presentation is free and open to the public.
“This is a perfect opportunity to meet people with similar interests and learn how to use telescopes and binoculars to view the moon and stars. Plenty of experts from the West Kentucky Amateur Astronomers club will be available to offer assistance,” said Planetarium Manager, Rob Milner.
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Land Between The Lakes National Recreation Area joins all federal agencies in honoring veterans this Veteran’s Day weekend, Saturday-Wednesday, November 7th-11th, 2015, with free admission.
“This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ to active duty military, veterans, and their family who visit Land Between The Lakes,” says Jeff Laird, Customer Service Manager. “We appreciate the service and sacrifices made by all members of our military across the country.”
Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Teachers will receive free general admission to the Homeplace 1850s Working Farm and Living History Museum, Golden Pond Planetarium, and Woodlands Nature Station on Saturday, September 19th and Sunday, September 20th at Land Between The Lakes.
Current and retired teachers, home educators, and their immediate families qualify for free entry. A letter printed on school letterhead, a school faculty ID card, or home educator identification should be presented at each site.

Land Between the Lakes’ Golden Pond Planetarium and Observatory Summer Evening Shows and Star Parties
Office of Land Between the Lakes, KY/TN – Summer Evening Planetarium Shows begin May 30th with Firefall at Golden Pond Planetarium followed by a Star Party.
Friends of Land Between The Lakes will present additional 8pm evening planetarium shows and star parties on select Saturdays during June, July, August, and September. Admission is $5.00 ages 13 and up, $3,00 ages 5-12, and free for ages 4 and under.
