Land Between The Lakes Facilities Re-open for 2013 Season

Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area begins its 2013 operations on Friday, March 1st, by opening several popular visitor attractions.

The Homeplace, Woodlands Nature Station, and North and South Welcome Stations open their doors March 1st, along with Energy Lake, Hillman Ferry and Piney Campgrounds. Land Between The Lakes Golden Pond Planetarium Open All-Year

Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area is pleased to announce the Golden Pond Planetarium will be open all-year beginning January 2nd, 2013.

This is the first year the planetarium has not needed to close for extended maintenance since the new full-dome digital projector system was installed at the beginning of the 2012 season. Fort Campbell’s Outdoor Recreation December Activities

Fort Campbell, KY – Don’t let the cold weather keep you indoors.  Outdoor Recreation Adventure Programs has just the thing to help you beat that holiday stress. They start the month of December with a Chickasaw Trace Mountain Biking trip on December 1st from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Ages 14 and above are invited to participate and the cost is $19.00.

Helmets, bikes and transportation are provided.  Chickasaw Trace is a small 300 acre park bordering the Duck River just southwest of Nashville, TN.  It may be small but this park offers some of the best mountain biking in Middle Tennessee. Land Between the Lakes Honors 19th Annual National Public Lands Day

Golden Pond, KY – Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area is waiving fees at participating day-use facilities on Saturday, September 29th, in honor of National Public Lands Day.

Land Between the Lakes extends Laser Light Music Shows Due to Popularity

Golden Pond, KY – Due to popular demand, the Laser Light Music Shows extended their run through December at the Golden Pond Planetarium in the Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area. During September and October, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, shows will run at 5:30pm and 7:00pm both days.

Golden Pond, KY – Back by popular demand!  The Golden Pond Planetarium in Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area will once again feature Laser Light Music Shows beginning May 25th, 2012.

Land Between the Lake’s New Projection Technology Wows Audiences

Golden Pond, KY – The world’s first full-dome, full-color digital planetarium with single lens projection, the MEDIAGLOBE II, arrived at Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area just in time for the 2012 season.
