Instant Peay Play - APSU SportsClarksville, TN – For the most part of the past couple of decades Austin Peay State University (APSU) hasn’t been much more than an afterthought when it comes to the Ohio Valley Conference Football Media Day, but that won’t be the case as the conference teams and media meet in Nashville on July 23rd, 2018.

The Governors are coming off an 8-4 mark in 2017 — including a runner-up finish in the OVC with a 7-1 record – after being picked last in last year’s per-season poll.

Ticket deadline approaching for APSU Football football season-opener at Georgia

APSU FootballClarksville, TN – The July 30th, 2018 deadline for fans to purchase tickets for Austin Peay State University (APSU) Football’s season-opening contest at Georgia is rapidly approaching.

The matchup between the preseason nationally-ranked Governors and the Bulldogs, who were a 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship participant, is set for a 2:30pm (CT), Saturday, September 1st kickoff in Athens, Georgia.

APSU Men’s Basktetball adds Jabari McGhee to 2018-19 roster

APSU Men's BasketballClarksville, TN – The final piece of the puzzle for the 2018-19 Austin Peay State University (APSU) men’s basketball roster has been found in Jabari McGhee, a 6-7 forward from Albany, Georgia.

McGhee was last at Western Kentucky, where he appeared in 21 games as a redshirt sophomore in 2016-17 after becoming eligible in December following a transfer. In fact, he put in 12 minutes against the Govs in a December 28th contest that season, hitting 3-of-4 from the floor and grabbing four rebounds.

APSU Football’s Jeremiah Oatsvall named OVC Preseason Offensive Player of the Year

APSU FootballBrentwood, TN – Austin Peay State University (APSU) sophomore quarterback Jeremiah Oatsvall has been named the 2018 Media Ohio Valley Conference Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, the OVC announced today.

The voting is conducted by members of print, radio and television media who cover the OVC and its institutions.

APSU Women's Track and FieldClarksville, TN – A seven-meet schedule awaits Austin Peay State University’s cross country teams when the season opens up in late August, head coach Doug Molnar announced Wednesday.

The season commences August 31st with a trip to Southern Illinois for the Carbondale Opener, SIU’s first attempt at a home meet since 2014.

Tuesday, it was all about the Ohio Valley Conference honors bestowed upon Jeremiah Oatsvall and Will Healy, and a day later we did the deep dive into Healy’s Eddie Robinson Award-winning turn as FCS Coach of the Year.
