Nashville, TN – Heavy rains blanked LP Field Saturday night as the Tennessee Titans (1-0-0) took on the Green Bay Packers (0-1-0) in their preseason opener. Conditions were not ideal for head coach Ken Whisenhunt’s first game as a Titan. Whisenhunt was named head coach on January 13th, 2014.
Behind 13-60 in the fourth quarter, Tennessee had the ball on their on 20. In four plays, the Titans moved the ball down to the Packers 7. From there, running back Jackie Battle took it in for a 7 yard touchdown. Kicker Brett Kern connected on the extra point to give the Titans a 20-16 lead over Green Bay. It would be the last points scored in the game.

Fans are encouraged to participate in the LP PENCIL Box School Supply Drive at the game. LP PENCIL Box, a collaborative non-profit venture between PENCIL Foundation and LP Building Products, offers Nashville Metro teachers the opportunity to acquire school supplies for the city’s most in-need children.
Nashville, TN – Little time separates the Tennessee Titans from the launch of training camp to the start of the preseason. On Saturday, August 9th, exactly two weeks from the first practice, Tennessee plays its first of four preseason games, hosting the Green Bay Packers at LP Field.
Furthermore, the Titans have a mere 43 days from the outset of camp until their regular season schedule kicks off September 7th in Kansas City versus the Chiefs.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans waived eight year veteran kicker Rob Bironas today. He has been with the Titans since June 21st, 2005.
Bironas is statistically one of the top 10 kickers in NFL history. He made 85.6 percent of his field goals in the first eight years of his career and became one of the top two scorers in club history.

Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans (3-1) play their third consecutive home game this week, welcoming the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs (4-0) to LP Field (capacity 69,143). Kickoff is scheduled for noon CDT on Sunday, October 6th.
This week’s game will be televised regionally on CBS, including Nashville affiliate WTVF NewsChannel 5. Kevin Harlan will handle play-by-play duties while Solomon Wilcots provides analysis.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans sign running back running back Jackie Battle and tight end DeMarco Cosby to the roster on Wednesday, July 24th. Running back Alvester Alexander and quarterback Nathan Enderle were waived.
The six foot, 240 pound, Battle has been in the NFL for six seasons. He spent five years wiht the Kansas City Chiefs and the 2012 season with the San Diego Chargers where he was the backup for Ryan Mathews.
Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans on Wednesday announced they have agreed to terms with full back Quinn Johnson on a multi-year contract.
Johnson played in 16 games for the Titans last season and was the lead blocker for RB Chris Johnson.
Quinn Johnson has played in 40 games during his four-year NFL career with the Green Bay Packers, Denver Broncos and Tennessee. Last year he recorded four carries for five yards and five receptions for 40 yards. «Read the rest of this article»
Babineaux, who’s played nine seasons in the NFL, signed with Tennessee as a free agent in 2011. He recorded a team-high 117 tackles in 14 starts and 16 games that season and added 92 tackles in 12 starts and 16 games in 2012. Nashville, TN – The Tennessee Titans hired Shawn Jefferson as Wide Receivers coach, George Henshaw as Tight Ends coach and Sylvester Croom as Running Backs coach.
Additionally, Dowell Loggains permanently moves to Offensive Coordinator from quarterbacks (moved for the final five games of 2012), Dave Ragone will move to Quarterbacks coach from Wide Receivers, Nate Kaczor moves to Special Teams coach from Assistant Offensive Line and Chet Parlavecchio moves to Linebackers coach from Special Teams Assistant.
